Throughout this blog you will read about our recruitment process and what happens, this will give you an insight on what to expect when you start your career in care with us!

First step is to apply, this can be done via our current vacancies section on our careers site, or we use Indeed as another options. We recommend you use our careers site; you can visit our other blogs and learn about us more as a company.

 

 

When you have applied your application will be reviewed by our team, where you will then be invited for an interview. Within this interview you will be reviewed on your skills, experience, and your knowledge on Bluebird Care, for more information and advice on how to excel at your interview, visit this link.

Based on your interview, a decision will be made and regardless if you are successful or not, you will find out the decision that has been made. This will then lead to a job offer, and from then we will request all forms and documents needed to secure your job here at Bluebird Care.

Before starting, we require training and learning which will allow you to feel comfortable and ready to start with us. The first step of learning would be to complete our E-Learning, which provides you with information that will leave you feeling confident in your knowledge of care. When completed, you will move onto induction which will last 4 days, this will give you training, which will cover the content of the care certificate.

 

This will include practical training such as:

  • Medication administration
  • Moving and positioning
  • Basic life support
  • Prevention and control of infection

Once completed and we have received all relevant documents such as DBS and reference requests, we will put you into shadowing, which give you an insight to how our other Bluebirds work and deliver care, this will give you a chance to get to know your other team members. Your 12-week probation will start and then you are good to go!
