Fair Futures For Our Care Assistants

Recruitment in the care industry often comes with numerous challenges, making it a constant uphill battle for employers. One of the primary struggles is the shortage of qualified candidates.

The demand for care services is consistently high, driven by an aging population and increased need for healthcare support. However, there is a limited pool of individuals with the necessary skills, experience, and qualifications to fill these roles.

This campaign is to spread positivity in the realm of care and to recognise the hard work and dedication of our Care Assistants.

Meet our team of care professionals

David Haswell
Owner

Bluebird Care Newcastle is led by David & Kelly Haswell. David & Kelly started delivering homecare in Newcastle to help support customers in the area to receive homecare and support while remaining in the comfort and familiarity of their own homes. Delivering the highest quality of homecare and support is David and Kelly’s absolute goal and the team would be delighted to hear from anyone who is seeking homecare for themselves or for a loved one, or would simply like to talk to someone about the services we provide.

David has gained a BA in Economics and Accounting and a Masters in International Business Management from University of Newcastle upon Tyne. Previous to setting up the company my work roles included Business Development, as well as Product and Marketing Management.

I have set up Bluebird Care Newcastle following on from the success of my first office in East Boldon. The inception of Bluebird Care South Tyneside was born out of my own family’s experience with home care. During this time when my grandparents needed care, we felt there was a lack of information about what was available, inconsistency of care, poor time keeping, lack of choice, and poor customer service.

I am proud to say that we have achieved what we set out to achieve, which was to build a care company that had an excellent reputation for providing quality, flexible and tailor-made care. I am excited to be able to open an office in Gosforth that will be enable people to get the care they want; when they want it; and how they want it!

As a result I will ensure that ethos and philosophy of Bluebird Care Newcastle stands firm and we will treat each customer as if they were a member of our own family, through a ‘can-do-attitude’ and ‘good old fashioned service’. These standards will be maintained be hiring people who share the vision that the people of Newcastle deserve the best.

John will be working closely with the two deputy managers in the branch, Amy and Kayleigh to ensure that they support everyone to deliver the highest quality of care to our customers regardless of if they are End of life, Complex or domiciliary packages. John says "We should always put the customer first and that should drive all we do!".
