The recruitment stage for Bluebird Care Newcastle was so easy. I filled in an online form via Facebook and was contacted the following day to arrange an interview. The interview was the same week and I was lucky enough to be offered a position. The induction training has been brilliant. The trainer has been friendly and helpful, the training has been useful and I have learnt so much from it. Everyone has been so friendly and helpful answering any questions I've had and I can't wait to start working for Bluebird Care Newcastle.
When I applied to be a Bluebird Care I received a very prompt response from them and the interview was arranged there and then. I was very nervous on the day, not having had a job interview for many years, but I was made to feel relaxed by the interviewer, she chatted to me in a friendly manner and asked questions I could answer without feeling intimidated. After it was over I felt confident and had a good feeling I was doing the right thing. I found that during the induction course there was a very friendly atmosphere, we were all there together which was quite comforting, and helped to create a team response to work. Bluebird Care come across as a very professional company, but with a nice friendly family atmosphere. I think I am going to be very happy working here."
I came to work for Bluebird Care after caring for my mother and uncle who sadly both died within six months of each other. I decided I wanted to become a care worker and after checking different care company’s I decided Bluebird Care was the right company for me after reading and listening to people and everything Bluebird Care do for their customers. On commencing my employment, with Bluebird Care, to begin with I shadowed more experienced care assistants then with the support and induction training offered I soon became confident to work on my own. The continuous training and qualifications provided including NVQ’s Level 2 and 3 have given me more confidence as a care assistant to work above and beyond to Bluebird Care’s high standards. I am now a Field Care Supervisor so not only am I enhancing my skills but I am also passing on my experience and support to new care assistants. My job is so rewarding and I have never looked back since joining for Bluebird Care.
I would recommend anyone to apply to become a carer with Bluebird Care. I have always worked in an office from leaving school and when I found out I was being made redundant, I decided I wanted to change my career path. My interview was so relaxed and friendly and the staff in the office put me at ease too. I believe that the personal and individual approach to our customers is what I would want if it was a member of my family that needed care. I have had the opportunity to gain extra qualifications and there is always extra training should you wish to take it. I wish I had changed my career path earlier because I really do love my job, meeting lots of lovely people and it's a privilege to be able to care for them, keeping their independence and being able to stay in their own home. I am proud to be part of Bluebird Care.
I started work working with Bluebird Care after using them to care for my own mam at the end of her life. I was so impressed with the level of care shown by all the care assistants, they truly went above and beyond in supporting my mam, as well as the family, it made me want to work for Bluebird Care. Since joining the company as a care assistant I have since progressed to a Field Care Supervisor. The company provides plenty of training opportunities to achieve your goals and I would recommend anyone to apply for a role with Bluebird Care if you know that care work is for you.
I have found my experience with Bluebird Care to be a great one so far, from the recruitment process straight through to finishing my first week of work. I have been supported from the start and found the training enjoyable and very informative, covering all aspects of my role from medication training, first aid training, and customer welfare guidance. Having recently began my field work, I am really enjoying meeting my new customers, their families, being involved with their care."
