Bluebird Care North Hampshire values and appreciates the fantastic staff it employs. To show its appreciation for loyalty and commitment the company runs a recognition programme for all its employees based on length of service.  Social Care is an industry that has a poor reputation for retention, recognition and appreciation of the workforce, but Bluebird Care North Hampshire is different. In conjunction with its sister company in West Berkshire, the organistion realises that the reason for its success since 2007 is due to the dedicated team of people it employs.

Having care assistants with many years experience in the company has allowed us to build a real depth in our skills and knowledge of delivering care and support at home which, in turn, means that we can provide the very best quality of care to our customers.  It also means, that with such a low turnover of staff the company can provide a consistency of care unmatched by any of our competitors.

1 year club
After a year our care assistants are established within the company and may have already completed our end of life care and dementia care qualifiactions.  They will also be studying towards one of the QCF in health and social care awards at level 2, 3 or beyond.  We invite these care assistants to meet on a regular basis and take part in a forum with the Directors and Care Managers to discuss ways in which we can improve our company and the services that we provide.  We run the forum in the office over a buffet lunch and invite representatives from our 3 and 5 year clubs (below) to take place in the discussions so we can hear a range of views.

3 year club
3 years at Bluebird Care is a fantastic achievement.  Individuals with over 3 years in the company may have continued to work delivering care or they may have progressed to other roles in the organisation.  Either way they will be highly skilled with an excellent understanding of how their role fits within the organisation. Care assistants with 3 years experience at Bluebird Care have provided care for and supported a wide range of customers and will have completed a range of specialist training courses giving them the skills and experience to cope with any situation they face.  Every year the Directors arrange for a local evening out for those people that have been with the company over 3 years to show the company's appreciation for their continued dedication, commitment and loyalty.

5 year club
We are proud to have a number of care assistants and office staff who have more than 5 years' service with the company.  This growing group of employees have chosen to develop their career with the company for a significant period and are integral to the way that the company has developed and grown.  To recognise and show appreciation for this level of commitment and loyalty the Directors invite everyone in the company with over 5 years service and their partners to a premium event annually.  In 2017 over 30 of us went to Bombay Sapphire in Laverstoke on a private distillery tour.

10+ year club
We are delighted to be able to say that 5 of the first few people we employed in 2008 are still working with Bluebird Care 12 years later. We share their work anniversary with the company.  We have something special planned for all of them and can't wait to help them celebrate.
