Meet our team of care professionals

Kerry Martin
Care Coordinator

Kerry joined us on October 31st 2016 bringing much sector experience into the role of Care Coordinator;

I have worked within the care sector for the last 7 years; 3 years as a Support Manager, supporting adults with learning difficulties to maintain their independence in the community. Prior to this I was a Support Assistant for 4 years, gaining knowledge and experience whilst also completing an NVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care. I am delighted to be on the Bluebird Care Cheshire East management team, adding my skills to those of my colleagues in delivering the outstanding care services for which the company is known."

Dean Munslow
Care Manager

I’ve worked in Health & Social Care for 11 years, predominantly working with adults with learning difficulties in supported living services. This was a family owned business with the same values as myself, being person-centred, caring and putting the persons needs at the forefront of all we do.

My previous role was as Compliance Manager, which has given me a good understanding of CQC’s regulations and what they expect from a quality care provider. I was looking to further my career and after having an initial conversation with Joanna, I felt that Bluebird Care Cheshire East, was what I was looking for to achieve this.

Joanna’s passion and person-centred approach is what I know care to be, it was such an exciting conversation to have, hearing how the business has grown and the team developed, each manager also having the same passion and drive as Joanna, you couldn’t fail to be impressed with it.

Once I received the call saying I had been successful in taking over from Jayne, who had given 11 years to help Bluebird to grow into a CQC rated outstanding care company, I couldn’t wait to begin my journey.

My aim is to lead the already established successful team, promoting high quality person-centred care and maintaining the well-earned outstanding rating.

Mikaela Farrington
Administrator

Mikaela joined the Administrative Team in October 2020. Mikaela brings with her a wealth of experience, she has worked for the Local Authority for the past 11 years in both Adult and Children’s Services in various administrative roles. During her career so far Mikaela has also trained within Business Management, achieving a Level 4 Diploma. We are delighted to welcome Mikaela to the team.

Louise Mason
Administrator

Louise took a foundation degree in graphics and media studies, followed by a photography degree, beginning her career in customer service positions. Later she entered the social care sector in a design and administrative role.

Joining the administrative team at Bluebird Care Cheshire East in August 2018, Louise says:

“At Bluebird Care Cheshire East I see a true dedication to deliver a quality service, and this makes me feel proud to be a part of the team.”

Jaqlyn Mellor
Deputy Manager & Lead Supervisor

Jaqlyn joined Bluebird Care Cheshire East in October 2015 as supervisor, having spent the prior 5 years in support manager roles assisting people with learning difficulties. Her many skills saw her quickly promoted and supported to achieve further qualifications. Now trained to level 5 in management and leadership, Jaqlyn leads the supervisor team and deputises for our Care Manager, Jayne Wakefield;

Jackie Powell
Senior Coordinator

Jackie joined Bluebird Care Cheshire East in 2010 bringing with her 17 years experience within the care sector. As Care Coordinator, Jackie works hard to ensure that our customers receive continuity of care from our dedicated team of care workers. 

Over her career Jackie has held Senior Care & Team Leader roles in nursing & residential care homes, as well as Deputy Community Services Manager in her home county of Somerset. Here in Cheshire Jackie has held a hospital health care position working on general medical wards & also qualified as a Risk Assessor. Her other qualifications include NVQ level 3 in Health & Social Care & Management.

I am a caring person by nature & I take great satisfaction in ensuring a quality service is delivered to our customers, enabling them to remain in their own homes for as long as possible. Working closely with our customers, their families & healthcare professionals together with the knowledge & experience I have gained since joining the care sector has enabled me to understand & meet the needs of our customers to an optimum level”
