Kerry joined Bluebird Care Cheshire East in 2016. Kerry started her career as a nursery nurse gaining her NVQ level 3 in childcare and education. In 2009 she joined the care sector, spending three years as a support assistant, during this time she gained her level 3 in health and social care. This led Kerry to move into management, where she supported adults with learning difficulties, helping them to maintain their independence in the community. Since joining Bluebird Care Cheshire East Kerry has moved from strength to strength, taking on new roles, and becoming involved with all areas of the business, from care coordinating, to marketing and recruitment. Kerry has discovered a real passion for marketing, and has taken the lead in developing our presence across social media.
I am delighted to be a part of the Bluebird Care Cheshire East management team, adding my skills to those of my colleagues in delivering the outstanding care services for which the company is known.
I started my career in health and social care 18 years ago, this was in the community working with the district nursing team and the palliative care team. It was here that my passion for dignified care was ignited. I really wanted to make a difference to individuals who required support in their daily tasks. To gain a wider perspective on health and social care I began a journey working in a hospital environment, here I soon got a promotion and became the first patient discharge facilitator in Stockport NHS Foundation Trust. My burning desire for compassionate, dignified, and respectful care for everyone led me to study my higher education to nursing however, once I gained this qualification I found my vocation in health and social care and pursued my BA Hons Degree in health and social care. I received an award at the university and had some of my work printed off for mental health awareness. I am a believer in teamwork and here at Bluebird Care Cheshire East is exactly that. All of my core values Bluebird Care Cheshire East hold with pride as their ethos.
I look forward to meeting every customer and being involved in their care along with meeting every valued member of the team. Here's to a prosperous future for all at Bluebird Care.
Louise began her career in customer service positions. Later she entered the social care sector in a design and administrative role.
Joining the administrative team at Bluebird Care Cheshire East in August 2018, Louise says:
“At Bluebird Care Cheshire East I see a true dedication to deliver a quality service, and this makes me feel proud to be a part of the team.”
Louise joined the Administrative Team in August 2021. Louise brings with her a wealth of experience; she has worked for large multi-national companies in the past and says:
“At Bluebird Care Cheshire East I have been welcomed by a very professional and friendly team of dedicated staff that deliver a quality service, and I feel proud to be a part of the team”.
Anita joined the team as a Care Supervisor in June 2022. Anita has worked within a variety of roles, but in each role the most important factor for Anita has been connecting with different people. Anita emigrated to South Africa when she was six years old, returning to the UK in 2021. Whilst in the UK Anita has cared for others as a Live-in Carer, through this experience, and through caring for her Mum, Anita has realised her commitment and passion towards helping others.
I joined Bluebird Care in June 2022 as a Care Supervisor, and I am very pleased with the professionalism and support I have received in starting my new role.
Joanna Lee is the owner and operator of Bluebird Care Cheshire East. The office opened in July 2007, and was one of the earliest in the Bluebird Care network which now has a very strong presence across the UK.
From an early career in nursing, Joanna then spent a number of years in the pharmaceutical sales industry, taking further business and management qualifications. She then went on to manage regional and national hospital sales teams providing medical devices into operating theaters and intensive care units.
When it came time for a venture of her own, Bluebird Care was the exact match for Joanna, enabling her to bring together the experiences of her career to date. The caring attributes associated with nursing added to strong management and leadership skills giving Joanna the necessary insight to direct a busy care service.
Bluebird Care’s principles of high quality care provision, on time, every time accorded with Joanna’s own objectives; to establish an outstanding care service, unrivalled in its continual commitment to excellence in serving the local people of her community.
Despite having now built a sizeable operation, this commitment remains with every new customer treated with dignity and respect, welcomed with open arms to the “Bluebird family”.
Whatever the age or the care requirements of the customer, Joanna firmly believes in looking beyond disability or the changing needs which can come with advancing years.
Everyone is treated as the unique individual that they are, never forgetting that it is a privilege to meet some very wonderful people and be able to help them live life to the full with the support of the service.
It has been, and continues to be the most rewarding role Joanna has held in her career to date!
Carolyn joined the Supervisor team in September 2021 after making a hugely positive impression out in the community as a Care Assistant. Carolyn joined us in 2018 with no care experience, however she quickly hit the ground running and has never looked back. Carolyn qualified as a nursery nurse in 1996, achieving her NNEB and NVQ level 2&3 in childcare and education. Following this she moved into management, and has transferred these skills into her current role at Bluebird Care Cheshire East. Carolyn has a passion for delivering the very best, personalised care to our customers, and her knowledge and expertise have already made a huge contribution to the management team.
It has been a pleasure to grow with the Bluebird Care Cheshire East team, and I am excited for the future.
With no prior experience in the care sector, Paula quickly adapted to her role, taking her qualifications in health and social care and progressing into a supervisor support role. Her passion for caring as well as emerging management skills made promotion to supervisor a natural step. Her role encompasses staff support, supervision and training as well as all aspects of care planning, and customer reviews. Paula is a real asset to our growing supervisor team!
I joined the team at Bluebird Care Cheshire East in October 2012 as a care assistant. I arrived with no experience in social care, but quickly realised that this was the career I should have been in all along!
