Thank you so much for taking great care of me when I started with the company. I have a severe latex allergy and when I told Karen this she really looked after me by switching all the gloves to non-latex and also getting in touch with all the other carers so that their gloves could also be switched so that there was no latex in use anywhere to keep me safe. This has really made me feel at ease and that management are right on top of our safety and wellbeing as carers thank you so much.

I have enjoyed working with Bluebird Care for the last year and a half. Having come to the company with no prior social care experience or training, I have felt well supported by colleagues and managers throughout. It has been great to take my first steps in this rewarding job as part of the Bluebird team.

I am currently a 2nd year student at Brighton University studying Physical Geography and Geology BSc (hons). Previously I worked in the retail sector before going to University and found retail to be very unfulfilling. Deciding on a change, I approached Bluebird Care who agreed to provide me with full training and mentoring in order to grow into the role as care worker. After nearly a year with the Company I am competent in many areas of care, including: medication administration, hoisting, catheter management, basic life support, to name a few. The training is first class; the support from the office team is constant and relevant. I am able to work around my university lectures and get paid well above the living wage. When I am on breaks from the university I let my Supervisor, Tracy know, and I am able to pick up extra shifts which really helps my bank balance! I feel really valued for the work I do, which is important to me – I would recommend Bluebird Care to anyone as an employer.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for giving me a wonderful chance to work for your company and to experience at first-hand how to take care of customers in vulnerable situations.I will be taking this experience with me for the rest of my life, as not only has it made me appreciate what we take for granted on an everyday basis but also help me understand more the care and respect one needs to have for people in need of your company’s services.

It has been a pleasure working for Bluebird Care, the customers are an amazing group of people and it has been very rewarding helping such a wide variety of people. The experience I have gained whilst working here has been invaluable and has equipped me with the skills to pursue my career in Clinical Care.
