Harvy and Madhsoodan Kaur
Directors

Bluebird Care Wakefield & Kirklees is owned and led by Harvy and Madhsoodan, who bring with them a wealth of knowledge from their healthcare, business, and legal backgrounds.

They are committed to delivering the highest standard of customer care and services and to work together to expand the business and help Bluebird Care Wakefield and Kirklees succeed.

Having a strong belief in the selfless service of others and upholding the dignity and respect of the elderly and those in need of care, and a wealth of professional management and leadership skills, they have a passion to help and support customers in the area to receive home care support whilst remaining in the comfort of their own homes.

Harvy and Madhsoodan are excited to be part of such a brilliant team that has continuously won awards such as Compassionate Care and Employer of the Year and bringing value to the community. 

Taking over Bluebird Care Wakefield and Kirklees in May 2023, Harvy and Madhsoodan said:

Janice Hislop
Care Manager

Janice is the Care Manager at Bluebird Care Wakefield & Kirklees.  

Starting her career in the health and social care industry in 2019, Janice brings a new perspective on the best way to provide the highest standard of care. Previously, Janice worked as a People Manager permitting her to carry over crucial transferable skills to her role. Beginning her career in care as a Care Assistant means that Janice has vital hands-on experience on the correct way to treat both customers and staff.  

Janice started her career with us as Care Assistant and was soon promoted to Field Care Supervisor,  where she played a very important part in the cohesion between customers and staff. Janice ensured customers were fully supported and guided through the process of individually tailoring care needs.

Janice was also our Care Coordinator for some time, ensuring the smooth delivery of care that worked for both customers and staff. She is now our Care Manager, having proved herself both adaptable and incredibly skilled in care management, staff and customers care, and her overall passion for supporting our community.

Janice takes real pride in the job she does as she states: 

Working with the rest of the team here at Bluebird Care Wakefield & Kirklees, I feel very confident in being able to deliver unique care in the comfort of the customers own home.

And that

I take great satisfaction in my role for many reasons, but it is the day-to-day interactions with our customers that I thoroughly enjoy.

Chloe Whitworth
Care Co-ordinator

Chloe is the Care Co-ordinator at Bluebird Care Wakefield and Kirklees.

Joining us with a wealth of care knowledge already due to her previous experience as a support worker, Chloe understands how important it is that we make it as easy and as comfortable as possible for our customers to remain in their homes. Her background in social care has also equipped Chloe with the necesary skills that make an excellent coordinator. Her empathy and passion make it easy for her to communicate with our customers and care professionals, which is the key to ensuring the smooth running of care.

Chloe also has a great understanding of how to operate our scheduling systems, thanks to her diploma in IT, meaning she is able to effectively plan customer care in a way that is beneficial both to our customers and our care professionals.

When asked what she enjoyed most about working in care, Chloe said:

 

I thoroughly enjoy working in care because it brings me a sense of accomplishment to know that I'm actively helping those who need it.

Gail Rusling
Field Care Supervisor

Gail is the Field Care Supervisor at Bluebird Care Wakefield & Kirklees.

Having joined our team in September of 2023, Gail's main priority is making sure the quality of care we provide is to the best of standards for our customers. She ensures our care professionals provide the best support possible and feel confident in doing so by conducting weekly and monthly supervisions, as well interacting with customers to make sure they are satisfied with their care.

With her extensive skill set and prior knowledge of care, Gail is a vital part of our home care team and takes great pride in all that she does.

Talking about her role as Field Care Supervisor, Gail said:

My main priority is making sure our customers are well cared for.

and 

I take great pride in my job because I believe everyone should be given the choice to stay at home whilst receiving care that allows them to live their lives to the fullest.

 

Abbigail Fowler
Social Media & Administration Officer

Abbigail is the Social Media & Administration Officer for Bluebird Care Wakefield & Kirklees.

Abbigail is keen to provide the best possible content for our social media platforms and websites that will engage and inform our customers and staff. She also works hard to create and implement digital marketing strategies to help those who need our help find us and to attract those who wish to work within the care industry.

She also plays a big part in our recruitment and onboarding processes, conducting interviews and ensuring that our onboarding journey is as smooth as possible for everyone involved.

Joining the team in 2021, Abbigail has enjoyed being a part of the Bluebird Care Wakefield & Kirklees team. She states:
