Terry Craggs
Care Supervisor

I have worked in carer for over 12 years, and I began my career in care working in a day centre for adults with various learning disabilities. Whilst working there I gained my level 1 and 2 and 3 NVQ in Adult Social Care.

I enjoy all aspects of care form providing valuable care to customers and meeting them in person to seeing carers out in the field delivering high quality care to their customers.

In my previous role I was a Care Support Officer, and I gained my level 5 in Line Management. I really enjoyed researching my project which was based around drug and alcohol abuse as I have knowledge and experience of these issues and I attended the Blue light training programme which has been recently brought out in the North of England and the course took 12 months to complete.

In 2011 I was a member of a team of carers that were nominated and won the regional award for best care provider for the work we provided to a young man with severe learning disabilities who lived in an ISL.

As a result of our continued care, we were nominated again in 2012 for the national award in Adult Social Care in London which we won.

Good work and dedication pays off!
