Carol-anne has over 10 years working experience in Recruitment and HR within the Health and Social Care Sector. She has aided in setting up care companies from start-up and knows just what it takes to make a company work in relation to what the candidate wants. Because she has been involved at ground level recruitment she understands it’s not just about recruiting good people but valuing and supporting them throughout. Carol-anne has been instrumental in the registration of two branches with the CQC (Quality Care Commission) and contributed to writing and implementing policies and procedures.
Carol-anne said recruitment is an experience, just like customer care, she wants every candidate to feel that warm glow as well as being informed and well versed in the what it takes to be a brilliant carer. She wants her knowledge and passion to filter through the recruitment process and embrace her candidates into the Bluebird Family.
The reason behind her success story is her ability to match the right people to the right job. She also professes nobody is perfect, but they may just be perfect for the job? She enjoys being creative and looks for ways to get the best out of people.
Carol-anne believes getting to know your candidate is pivotal part of the process and enjoys nothing better than building rapport and sitting down over a coffee and getting to know the person. Providing quality candidates is at the forefront of her decisions and benchmarks levels of care against standards she would expect a poorly friend or family member to receive.
She also knows through her experience over many years you don’t need to be a carer, just passionate, caring and reliable and the rest will be trained through Bluebird Care’s unrivalled training programme, and support mechanism. she encourages applicants from all different working backgrounds to follow their heart.
She said she feels lucky to work with GREAT people and enjoys coming to work. Carol-anne doesn’t put the phone down because the office is closed and will look for suitable solutions and ways to find best times to catch up with you, she is there to support her new recruits through the ‘One Family’ journey. Often Carol-anne will be caught texting carers randomly asking how their weekend went, and always a shoulder to lean on.
As for her weekends, sometimes chilled, the art of doing nothing... Bellissima, shopping catching up with family and friends. Currently looking for a dance class, rather than dancing around her handbag, which she has a wonderful collection of gathering dust in the wardrobe.
In addition Carol-anne is also a registered Counsellor, Cognitive Behavioural Therapist, Psychotherapist and also a qualified Hairdresser. Why not check her out on our Facebook page either on Bluebird Care Totton or New Forest.
