Role Purpose The Night Sitter provides reassurance, supervision, and support to customers overnight. This role is essential for customers who require assistance with mobility, personal care, medication prompts, or simply feel more secure knowing that someone is there while they sleep. You will be required to work waking nights (actively supporting throughout the shift). Key Responsibilities Customer Support Provide companionship and reassurance throughout the night. Assist with mobility, including safe transfers, repositioning, or escorting to the bathroom. Support with night-time personal care routines (toileting, changing, washing as required). Monitor wellbeing and respond promptly to any concerns or requests. Administer or prompt medication in line with company training and policies. Ensure the customer’s environment is safe, calm, and comfortable. Monitoring & Reporting Record observations, incidents, and care notes accurately using Bluebird Care systems. Report any changes in health, behaviour, or risk to the Care team or on-call team. Professional Conduct Maintain professional boundaries and follow all Bluebird Care policies, including safeguarding and confidentiality. Promote dignity, independence, and respect in every interaction. Skills & Experience Essential A caring, compassionate nature and a genuine desire to help others.
