My name is Lauren. I have worked in care since 2013, in both domiciliary and care home settings. I started off as a care assistant, gaining my NVQ level 2 and 3 in adult health and social care, and then moving up to a senior carer position and now supervisor.
I am always looking to develop my knowledge and skills and have enjoyed attending many external training workshops in a wide range of different topics. These include, dementia, continence care, understanding different medical conditions/medications and providing end of life care- which is something I am very passionate about. I enjoy being able to utilise what I have learnt and provide the best standard of care possible for the customers I care for.
I have worked at Bluebird Care Worthing for just over a year now. If I am not out and about in the community visiting customers to check on their wellbeing and ensure their care needs are being met or observing the carers to ensure they are providing the care and are confident in their work, I can be found in the office, ensuring the care plans are up to scratch and dealing with any other day to day enquiries.
When I started my career in care- I genuinely think I found my calling. It is something that I am very passionate about and I love what I do. I want to always ensure I am providing the best quality of life possible for the customers and continue to be a support for the carers. I love what I do, and I am thankful for Bluebird Care for giving me with the tools and opportunities to do the job.
