Fiona Ryder & Scott Browning
Business Owners

The business is owned by Fiona Ryder and Scott Browning.

Fiona manages the day-to-day running of the business and the office and is the CQC registered responsible person
Before setting up Bluebird Care, Fiona was a fully qualified Financial Planning Manager. The most fulfilling part of her job was helping customers achieve their goals (she calls it financial care) - whether buying their first home or helping them have a financially secure future.

However, after advising for nearly 15 years, she wanted an opportunity to use her skills to put something back into the community and running a Bluebird Care office would enable her to do this. She is passionate about providing a quality care service that allows her customers to remain as independent as possible in their own home.

Fiona believes passionately in providing “Good old fashioned care” and recruiting care workers who also share this passion and get enormous satisfaction from being able to provide practical help and assistance for our customers and their relatives.

Scott is responsible for sales and marketing, ensuring Bluebird Care is recognised throughout the area.

When still a teenager, Scott left his native Glasgow to join the British Army in Aldershot, where he was based for 8 years in the Parachute Regiment.  From leaving the army he gained wide experience in operations management and supply chain logistics. When Scott became Operations Manager for the Bluebird Care Head office in Petersfield and Fareham, he was struck by the difference domiciliary care made to people’s lives. After discussing with Fiona they both felt it was an opportunity to deliver quality care into the community.

Scott and Fiona are assisted by an exceptional care team who uphold the values of the company in the way they deliver, supervise and co-ordinate the care. Only very special individuals are accepted as employees of Bluebird Care and the team in the Worthing office take enormous pride in the service they deliver to customers.

Jemma Jenkins
Care Co-ordinator

I started my career at Bluebird Care in July 2014 as a care assistant, it was a part time position which I fell in love with. I have completed many training courses during this time which has widened my knowledge and given me confidence in the job I do.

I have now progressed in the company, firstly accepting the position of office administrator, which my organisational skills have helped me greatly in this role. I then moved on to the position of Support Co-ordinator, which is a more in-depth role where I could use my problem-solving skills to their full potential. I really enjoy both my roles within Bluebird Care and find that they complement each other.

After completing my NVQ Level 3, I was then given the opportunity to become the Field Care Superior - a role that I enjoyed greatly. I found that my skills and knowledge were utilised more effectively and expanded upon. I have recently accepted the position of Care Co-ordinator which I have been building and tailoring my skills and knowledge during my time with Bluebird Care in my various positions. I have completed training courses through Bluebird Care which has then enabled me to train new carers and support them through their career as well as working with current carers to refresh and expand on their knowledge.
I feel that we provide an excellent service through the dedication, hard work and professionalism of all the team members. There’s no better feeling then knowing you have changed a person life for the better and being able to help them live out their lives the way they want to.

Taylor Marfe
Admin Assistant

I started my journey with Bluebird Care Worthing in 2017. One day, I decided that I wanted to go back to work after having my first child. So I applied to become an Admin Assistant in the office. I also achieved a role in the Care Industry by becoming a care assistant.

Bluebird Care Worthing sent me on the Induction Carers training course and I am currently completing my care certificate.

I am very passionate about delivering high quality care to our customers and the service we provide here at Bluebird Care Worthing.

I would like to mention what a great professional team I work with, everyone works together to achieve a good quality service. Bluebird Care Worthing is truly customer focused and every assessment is person-centred entirely around the individual customers.
