I started my career at Bluebird Care in July 2014 as a care assistant, it was a part time position which I fell in love with. I have completed many training courses during this time which has widened my knowledge and given me confidence in the job I do.
I have now progressed in the company, firstly accepting the position of office administrator, which my organisational skills have helped me greatly in this role. I then moved on to the position of Support Co-ordinator, which is a more in-depth role where I could use my problem-solving skills to their full potential. I really enjoy both my roles within Bluebird Care and find that they complement each other.
After completing my NVQ Level 3, I was then given the opportunity to become the Field Care Superior - a role that I enjoyed greatly. I found that my skills and knowledge were utilised more effectively and expanded upon. I have recently accepted the position of Care Co-ordinator which I have been building and tailoring my skills and knowledge during my time with Bluebird Care in my various positions. I have completed training courses through Bluebird Care which has then enabled me to train new carers and support them through their career as well as working with current carers to refresh and expand on their knowledge.
I feel that we provide an excellent service through the dedication, hard work and professionalism of all the team members. There’s no better feeling then knowing you have changed a person life for the better and being able to help them live out their lives the way they want to.
