Meet our team of care professionals

Deborah Browne
Registered Manager

Bluebird Care Tamworth & Lichfield is led by Deborah Browne.

In 2007, after having spent most of her career in customer service Deborah decided to be a part of the fulfilling care sector as she was passionate about supporting the care needs of the elderly.

Deborah was searching for a more rewarding role that she could demonstrate her passion and commitment to each and every day and that is exactly what she gets in her role as Registered Care Manager.

Deborah feels blessed that she is able to be a part of a family at Bluebird Care that has the same values, vision and aspirations that match her own.
Furthermore, Deborah admires the founders of Bluebird care, who are an ‘ordinary couple’, dedicated to providing respect and dignity to the vulnerable people in our community, something Deborah can relate to. Deborah believes that these are the perfect foundations for care providers.

Martin Lahert
Director

Martin Lahert along with his partner Deborah Browne are the owners of Bluebird Care Tamworth & Lichfield.
Martin has worked in a various commercial roles within large organisations and wanted a career that would allow him to put his business skill, experience and knowledge to good use by doing something that would positively impact on others’ lives and when an opportunity came up to purchase the Bluebird Care Tamworth & Lichfield business (where Martin has lived for over 25 years) he jumped at it and is pleased to say that he and Deborah have been the proud owners since June 2018 and look forward to making the business even greater than it is now.

We are passionate about quality, both in the building of a great team of Carers and delivering the best service to our customers. We would be delighted to hear from anyone who is seeking homecare for themselves, for a loved one, or simply like to talk to someone about the service we provide.

Tina Carter

Tina Carter, our Care Manager, has worked for Bluebird Care Tamworth & Lichfield for over three years.

Tina enjoys working for Bluebird Care as we provide a very professional environment with a constant focus on delivering quality care and customer service.

Tina started with Bluebird Care as a care assistant and was promoted within a year to care co-ordinator.
In November 2017, Tina was promoted into the care manager position. Tina is a trainer in Medication Administration, Manual Handling, Basic Life Support, including CPR and Peg Feed. Tina believes home care is a fantastic and meaningful career, and is a prime example of the opportunities that exist at Bluebird Care and thoroughly enjoys working in the care industry.

Carron Swestun
Lead Coordinator

Carron Swestun, our lead coordinator, started Bluebird Care in October 2015 as a care assistant.

Carrons passion for care came after watching how the hospital team supported her ill father.

Carron decided that she wanted to support other vunerable people, and at Bluebird Care, Carron has the pleasure of supporting older people to remain independent, and stay in their own homes. At Bluebird Care we deliver a high quality service, and Carron is proud to have been a part of the team that has worked towards being awarded a "Good Rating” from the CQC this year.

Carron was promoted to lead coordinator 18 months ago, and she is currently doing her NVQ Level 3. Carron is a fantastic example of the ways that you can progress in the field of care.
