WE ARE A LIVING WAGE EMPLOYER!

Did you know that nearly three-quarters of social care workers do not get paid a real Living Wage? Not here at Bluebird Care Tamworth, Lichfield, Nuneaton & North Warwickshire.

 

 

We are committed to pay the real Living Wage to reward our employees with a fair day’s pay in return for a hard day’s work caring for people in their local community. In the West Midlands alone, almost a fifth of all workers (19.3%) earn less than they need to get by, with around 430,000 jobs paying less than the Real Living Wage.

We pay a minimum hourly wage of £11.00 which massively exceeds the Government’s set minimum wage for over 23 year olds of £8.91 an hour. All of our employee's now earn a minimum of £11.00 per hour on Weekdays and extra on Weekends and Bank Holidays.

We are very pleased to have been accredited as a Living Wage Employer. We are delighted to reward those who work with such care and dedication for our wonderful clients with fair wages. We are fully committed to doing right by our staff and believe that offering a fair and competitive wage and benefits, job stability, and career progression does exactly that.

 

We are delighted Bluebird Care Tamworth and Lichfield has joined the movement of almost 9,000 responsible employers across the UK who voluntarily commit to go further than the Government minimum to make sure all their staff earn enough to live on.

 

We now join many small businesses and household names such as Burberry, Barclays and Everton Football Club just to name a few paying the Living Wage as we recognise that paying the real Living Wage is the mark of a responsible employer and we believe a hard days work deserves a fair day's pay!
