Lucy McCormack
Director of business development

My name is Lucy McCormack, I am the daughter of owners Tracey and Kevin McCormack.

Working within my family business is something I am incredibly proud of and passionate about.

Throughout my childhood I saw my mother and father work incredibly hard to build a community home care service that could offer people the very best quality home and live in care support, whilst remaining in the comfort and security of their own home.

My role here at Bluebird Care involves managing the day to day business of our 6 franchise locations. Alike any care organisation we have the amition to grow our quality service so that we can assist more people in our local community to live safely, happily and comfortably within their own home.

My role involves communicating with all of our staff members both those in the field and those whom are office based. My team makes communication very easy, as we have a well established open, honest and friendly culture. And we are all brought together by the common aim and objective 'To offer the highest quality and dignified home care service in our local community'.

Victoria Cleaver
Finance and Accounts Manager

I have been at Bluebird Care since 2014 and I am fortunate to love my job and be a part of an ‘outstanding’ team. My role is more than a “traditional finance” role, which makes it very rewarding role – I get the opportunity to meet customers and employees and it’s amazing feeling knowing that as a team we have made a positive difference to someone’s life and been there to support them – may that be our customers, their families or a Bluebird Care employee.

Kellie Woodcraft
Office Manager

I joined Bluebird Care in 2017 having worked in care on and off since I was 17 years old.

Since joining the Southend and Rochford team I have worked hard to build good relationships with both staff and customers alike.  This has enable me to match the skills and abilities or the care worker with the needs of the customer, yielding maximum customer and staff satisfaction.

I consistently take part in regular training and I  am currently working towards my QCF / NVQ Level 5 qualification.

As office manager of Bluebird Care Southend and Rochford I oversee the professional and compassionate workings of both the office staff and care staff.

Sharon Scarlett
Training Manager

My name is Sharon Scarlett I am the new Training Manager for Bluebird Care Essex.

My background is in Nursing and HealthCare, I have previously practiced as a first level Registered Nurse specialising in Forensic Nursing Care in secure services where our multi professional team supported people with complex and enduring mental health needs.  I left Healthcare to explore Adult Social Care where I developed my passion for learning and development.  As Service Manager supporting people with diverse needs in their own homes I honed my skills in person centred approaches – putting the person at the heart of everything you do.  Over the last decade I have focused on staff development, providing classroom and inhouse learning opportunities for care staff and managers.  I deliver on all aspects of the Care Certificate as per The Care Quality Commission requirement and also plan team building and motivational activities aimed at investing in a happier, more confident and more competent workforce.  I have a keen interest in co-delivery and have worked closely with customers and carers to create meaningful learning opportunities.

And here I am today, I have joined the Bluebird family of care.  Wow, what a welcome, what a great team! I am excited, I’m impressed.  Lots of smiles, lots of laughter, great stories of customer support, looking forward to sharing some really special times with the customers, the Managers and the carers.

Kirsty Davies
Customer Service Supervisor

I have been working in the care sector for 8 years and have been a member of the Bluebird Care team for almost 5 years. When I joined the company I started as a care assistant and have worked my way up. Firstly as a Senior and then up to the Customer Service Supervisor.

As a Customer Service Supervisor I am the first point of contact for all the customers and any individuals that may be involved in their care. I have gained good knowledge and understanding of my role which has helped me to assess the needs of the customers and advising them on the best way forward.

I have been very lucky to complete a number of different training courses. I have completed a Medication Train the Trainer course, first aid course,  Mental Health First Aid course. Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults, and record keeping courses.

I have completed my studies and now hold a NVQ / QCF Level 2 and 3 in Child and Adult Social Care and a Level 4 Diploma in Management.

I enjoy being able to support our customers to remain independent in their own home, and also to assist them to access the local community.

I ensure all of our care plans are tailored to the individual and are persona centred throughout.
