Benefits of working at Bluebird Care

Benefits of working at Bluebird Care :

If you are looking for fulfilment in your job and want to know whether you made a positive impact on someone’s life, then a career in care could be for you. Working in care gives you a vast wealth of experiences and joy. Every day is different and offers you the opportunity to meet some extraordinarily interesting people with their life stories

  • Flexible working hours:

We get it! Your job needs to work around your work-life balance. We work with full-timers, part-timers, and people who work only weekends or just evenings.

If you do not want to work in the community driving around but have care experience for more than a year, then you could consider becoming a live-in care assistant. This role does require you to move in with the customers for a period, but it will give you the time to bond and build fantastic relationships with the person concerned.

  • Qualifications and further growth

When you have not worked for a while, you can lose confidence in your own ability. We have many people who joined us, worrying whether they could do this job. If you are a hands-on person who cannot sit still and enjoy doing housework, cooking, meeting new people, etc., this could be the way to go. Start when your children are young and work a few evenings and alternate weekends. Keep your toes in the work process, and when they fly the nest, you are ready to grow further. Or, if this is your first ever job, we will support you to gain the confidence to develop.

  • Support when you need it

Working in the community can be challenging, especially in the beginning. Finding people’s addresses and getting to know our customers with their different needs. Every workday is different, giving it a bit of spice of life. We have our office staff ready to listen to you when you struggle with specific tasks. They will train you further if needed in the customer’s house as it is not always clear how to do certain manual handling techniques or understand what needs to be done. We want people to grow in their roles. We offer our staff Mental Health support and often hold team meetings and outings to get you to engage with your colleagues.

  • Pay rates far above the National Minimum Living wage

We have excellent pay rates. Our Contact hourly pay is way above the National Minimum Living Wage. We also give you travel time pay and pay for your supervision time and annual training time. Our holiday pay is not included in your hourly wage. We accrue the holiday pay for you, so you will get paid money when you take a holiday. On top of that, our mileage rate is not limited like other care companies; it is genuinely what you drive from customer to customer.
