Maurice Logie
Managing Director

I have been a business owner for several decades, firstly as an Insurance Broker and now in the Home Care sector. I have always been interested in helping people and so this is an ideal opportunity for me. When doing some market research I quickly came across Bluebird Care as they have a large network of offices across the UK and I really liked their ethos and business culture.

My aim at Bluebird Care South Lanarkshire is to build a strong team based upon a tried and tested franchise model. The office staff have regular team meetings and are there to help with the management, supervision and training of all our Carers. The ultimate goal is to give great quality care to our customers who are always at the centre of all that we do.

We can offer Care and Support at every stage of life – ranging from companionship all the way up to 24 hour “Live In” support

Away from work I am part of the leadership team in a local church, enjoy walks in the country (and on the golf course) as well as spending time with family.

I have been the Registered Manager at Bluebird Care (South Lanarkshire) since April 2018.I have worked in the Care Sector for almost 34 years managing a wide variety of services including Learning Disabilities, Autism, Homeless Services, Addiction Services, Home Care and Childcare Services.


I am driven by a deep passion to ensure people are supported and enabled to live their lives in a way that meets their personal goals and aspirations; I constantly strive to promote empowerment and personal choice.

The level of positive feedback about the quality of care and support is very encouraging and it is a privilege to be part of Bluebird Care’s ethos of exceptionally high standards of care provision.

I have worked in the Care Sector for twenty years, working initially in home care and then in care homes, enjoying this for many years. The last care home I worked for saw me staying for twelve years until it closed, when I felt the time was right for a change.

I joined Bluebird Care as I was convinced that they had the right approach to caring for customers, seeking to centre their service around customers’ needs.  It is lovely to be able to meet customers in their own home, working together to enable them to remain is their own environment for as long as they can.  I also enjoy supporting our team as they go out every day caring for our customers.

Andrew's background is in IT, he then moved on to spend 6 years in Indonesia where he was involved in teaching and curriculum development. Upon returning to Scotland in 2009 he has continued to develop his career, starting with Bluebird Care South Lanarkshire in 2014.

Manual Handling Trainer & Senior Care Assistant

I'm one of the newest members of the Bluebird Care family, bringing 16 years of diverse expertise in the shipping sector that has allowed me to travel the world. I have a degree in Nautical Sciences as well as various health care certificates.

I've always been curious about things and looking for better approaches to concerns, which led me to join Bluebird Care in early 2022 so that as part of this organisation, I can help the vulnerable by directly caring for them, overseeing their care and by educating caregivers on how to Move & Handle them in various situations. Every day brings new challenges and the gratification of knowing that I may make a difference in someone's life.

My background was in education and in that setting I saw first -hand the difference that taking the time and effort to help someone else can make. So now at Bluebird Care I am part of a team that endeavours to do the same for our customers that enables them to live safely at home.

My role involves everything from the first voice many will hear when they call the office to being involved in our safe recruitment procedures and lots in between .

The other main focus I have is a family that continues to grow up fast and I am happy to play my part with plenty of “grandmother duties”  – I also enjoy holidays abroad and attend a church here in Hamilton.

My early career was spent in banking after which I changed and became a quality auditor for twenty-two years.  This involved monitoring companies’ internal processes to ensure they could deliver for their clients, and that they continually sought to improve their effectiveness.  Now at Bluebird Care I am able to use that experience to ensure our internal processes are effective and also as efficient as they can be. 

It is lovely working with a team who’s focus is on making it possible for our customers to stay in their own homes and playing a small part in this, within the office.
