Sophie Rowland-Jones and Jack Whitfield
Directors

Bluebird Care (South Gloucestershire) is owned and run by Sophie and Jack Whitfield.  Jack and Sophie bring with them a range of experience in business, finance and customer service, with the focus of their business always being on putting the customer first.

Jack grew up in South Gloucestershire and so has a great understanding of the local community and the people within it. Like many other people, Jack and Sophie first came across the care industry when members of their families started to need a helping hand. 

It made them realise what a profound difference good quality care can make to someone’s life. They decided to put together a team to provide care to a standard that they would be happy with for their own family and friends.

When not working, Jack can usually be found fishing or playing cricket.  Together Sophie and Jack enjoy going for walks with their dogs, Pablo and Indy.

Katy Seal
Accounts Manager

I am the Accounts Manager here at Bluebird Care (South Glos) and joined in February 2019.

My role is office based and I work part time hours 3 days a week.  Predominantly, I pay all the suppliers in a timely manner, prepare and invoice healthcare bodies, pay debts as they are due, oversee the issue of customer invoices and ensure receivables are collected promptly, record cash, online and cheque receipts, make bank deposits, process the monthly payroll and assemble year end information for the external auditors.

Outside of work, I play netball in the Glos Prem League and am just starting my 31st season.  I also have 2 children who are both very sporty, so my free time is spent watching them, usually from a cold, wet and windy sideline!!

Rebecca Cornish
Supervisor

I am primarily office-based, overseeing the majority of work on PASSsystem, which is the software we use to orchestrate the various tasks we carry out in each care visit.

I also meet many new customers to talk through what the would like their care to look like.

Sharon Luton
Field Supervisor

I have now been with Bluebird Care two and a half years. I started as a carer and after just over a year I became field supervisor. I have been doing this role also for just over a year so far.

I thoroughly enjoy my role as I get the best of both worlds. Working in the office is great, there is a relaxed atmosphere and my computer skills, which were I might add were virtually nil, are surprisingly growing all the time. There is always somebody willing to help if help is needed.

The majority of my time is out in the field which is where I really come into my own. I absolutely love meeting the customers. Working with the care workers and delivering cate should it be required.  All in all I feel very lucky to be a small part of the BBC team.

Outside of work I love Cornwall and spend a lot of time there with my family.

I enjoy making and filling dolls houses my favourite period being edwardian/Georgian this is something I have been doing for many years.

Family time is very important to me I have two grown up Children and a husband.  So you might say three children sometimes !!!!. I've been happily married for several years.
