We are Paul and Kate Barry - the Franchise Owners. We have been Directors for almost 10 years. Between us both we lead the company's strategic vision and continually develop our CQC compliance.

HR Manager

I joined Bluebird Care in mid-2021 as the HR Manager. My background is within HR and Recruitment across the Care and Hospitality industries managing high volume recruitment and the end-to-end process of an employee’s life cycle within a company. My role involves working closely with the company’s values to recruit and retain fantastic care workers.

Marketing Manager

I am the Marketing Manager for all our branches across Chichester, Epsom & Kingston, Reigate, Sussex Weald and Sutton.Before joining Bluebird Care I had accumulated 20 years working in various industry to include childcare, adult and HE education, publishing, public transport and aviation.

I joined the company in 2021 because I wanted to be part of an organisation that played an important role in the community. Bluebird Care makes a significant contribution to the lives of others and it is full of people that have an innate passion for care. It is a rewarding industry to work within and I am loving getting to know the teams and customers across the Mid-South.

I joined Bluebird Care three years ago as a care assistant, I am now working in the Recruitment team.

Before Bluebird care I was working as SEN teaching assistant, I feel my skills were transferrable and thoroughly enjoyed supporting the elderly in our local community.

I enjoy working for Bluebird Care, all the staff are extremely supportive and friendly, working in recruitment has enabled me to learn skills to ensure high quality candidates are working in our community supporting our customers.

Care Manager for Live-in & Chichester Domiciliary (Hourly) Care

I am Nicola and I joined Bluebird Care as a care co-ordinator in 2011. I was fortunate to be given the opportunity to progress within the business and I now have a unique role as Care Manager for both Chichester Domiciliary as well as live-in across the Mid South. Before Bluebird Care, I held roles in agency-side PR and the leading children’s charity Barnardo’s. I am passionate about care and dedicated to supporting our customers to live independently in their own homes.

Kiah Brathwaite
Recruitment Consultant

I joined Bluebird Care in March 2022. I recruit candidates for the care assistant role in Chichester and surrounding areas and support my colleagues with their areas. This involves following the candidate through the whole recruitment process from the first telescreen interview right to the HR files completion and generating their contract of employment. I act as a point of contact for candidates during the recruitment process and can answer any questions and queries they may have. I also support candidates with online forms and admin tasks they might be required to do. I also work on getting their HR files together ready to be sent over after the training is completed.

I love that I get to build relationships with candidates and see them right through their journey at Bluebird Care. I feel very satisfied knowing that I have been part of getting someone a job, but also getting a customer a great carer, to improve their lives and offer them the care and support they need.
