Meet our team of care professionals

John and Suzzanne Elgar

Husband and wife team John and Suzzanne are passionate believers that high quality consistent care at home should be available and accessible to everyone as a basic right. 

The decision to move into provision of care came about after a family member became more dependant and required significant care.

"Without my grandmother, the idea of a service which emulates what you would expect for your family would never have come into fruition, and the idea of running a care service, let alone an 'Outstanding' one, would never have occured to us," said Suzzanne

The care offered in some cases was not of a good standard and this has led to a partnership with Bluebird Care who we feel hold the same standards and core beliefs surrounding care provision as ourselves.


John brings to Bluebird Care Cherwell a wealth of business experience having spent the last 25 years in the IT industry working for and with a large number of global companies providing business and sales solutions for a wide range of customers. John will provide business operational skills to the Bluebird Care Cherwell team.


Suzzanne comes from a financial background working within some of the major financial institutions before having a career break to establish a family unit. She has also worked within the community as a volunteer worker and really understands the difference good quality care delivered in familiar surroundings can have on the individual concerned.

We feel that the care we provide should be second to none and that it should be delivered with the level of professionalism compassion and respect that we would expect for our families.

Kerrie Everson

Why did I join care?!
My mother has been working in care for many years and has always said to me “Kerrie you would make a fantastic carer you have the heart and compassion for it”, (as mums do!)
I use to volunteer at a care home (where my mother worked at the time) and every Tuesday I would go in and help with the activities. I really enjoyed it! I use to listen to stories, play games, sing and help with events. The happiness on their faces when Id go in and see them just filled my heart so much.
So once my daughter went up to secondary school I was a little more free to be able to change my career of 16 years in retail (I have never been so scared to make such a huge jump).

I tried one care company before I came to Bluebird Care and I can honestly say working for Bluebird Care as a carer was amazing. The customers are just so inspirational, the care team are just angels in disguise and the office team work so hard to make sure our customers and carers are looked after, listened to and supported in any way they can.
Care is a career like no other, every day is different, everyone is different and every call is different.
I now work in recruitment for Bluebird Care which allows me to expand our care team of dedicated angels and to ensure the best care is always delivered. I may not get to see our customers as much anymore but I get to speak with them on the phone daily and to be able to make someone laugh if they are having a bad day or cheer them up is so heart-warming.
Care is much more than just a job it truly is and I can honestly say it was well worth the big jump.

Tina Jones
Customer Liaison Manager

In October 2020, Tina Jones joined Bluebird Care Cherwell and North Bucks as Customer Liaison Manager. Her professional background in Sales and Marketing will be resourceful for the business however she also has vast personal experience of caring and supporting elderly family members. She has compassion and competency in this field.

During furlough 2020, she had spent 190 hours volunteering in the care industry and, after enjoying it so much, decided on a complete career change.

Tina has joined the Cherwell and North Bucks office glowing with positivity and has harnessed strong relationships with customers and carers already.

In her spare time, Tina enjoys walking her springer spaniel named Ollie, and has participated in charity treks with the British Heart Foundation to conquer The Great Wall of China and Machu Picchu.
