My names Joe and I am the CSS here at Sussex Weald - I started my role with Bluebird in 2023 as a carer and took on this role in early 2024. I really enjoy ensuring that the care we provide is as person centred as possible. This role has given me a deeper look into the business from a different point of view which is going to assist me immensely with my career going forward.

I started in a residential care home 10 years ago, have worked in various roles within residential and domiciliary care. I have a passion for providing the highest level of care, so being able to recruit care staff that can provide the same feels me with great pride.

Regional Care Compliance Manager

I am the Regional Care Compliance Manager for Bluebird Care Mid-South. I work with all five branches, which include; Chichester, Epsom and Kingston, Sutton, Reigate, Sussex Weald and live-in. I started my Bluebird career back in 2015 as a care assistant and have worked through job promotions to my latest promotion in 2023, as Regional Care Compliance Manager. My role is to uphold policies and procedures across all branches, working closely with both office staff, carers and clients to ensure we maintain our high quality of care. My role ensures we continue to improve our CQC score with the aim to move from Good to Outstanding.

Digital Marketing Lead

I am the Digital Marketing Lead for all our branches across Chichester, Epsom & Kingston, Reigate, Sussex Weald and Sutton. Before joining Bluebird Care I had previously worked in the fitness industry as a Digital Marketing Executive. 

I joined Bluebird Care in 2023 because I wanted to be part of an organisation that played an important role in the community. Bluebird Care makes a significant contribution to the lives of others and it is full of people that have an innate passion for care. It is a rewarding industry to work within and I am loving getting to know the teams and customers across the Mid-South. 

Sue Hudson
Care Manager

I am Sue and I first joined Bluebird Care in 2014 as a care assistant. I was one of the branch’s first mentors and progressed to the role of care coordinator two years later. I had worked as a team leader in a domiciliary setting and became part of a team that set up a community centre and which I managed for 15 years. Completing my level 3 in health and social care has really assisted me in my role with Bluebird Care. In recent years my role was Scheduler, now I am extremely excited to take on my new role as Care Manager. I find fulfilment in caring for others and overcoming any challenges.

I am Courtney and I joined Bluebird Care as a care assistant in January 2021, My passion for care lead me to the role of Care Service Specialist in September 2021. After joining the office team in 2021 I have undertaken my level 3 in Health and Social Care, expanding my skills and knowledge of the care sector. In June 2023, I took on the role as Scheduler working closely with our customers and carers to ensure all needs are met.

Live-In Care Service Specialist

My name is Joy and I am a Care Service Specialist at Bluebird Care. My primary role is to assist all those interested in our live-in care packages as well as support our care assistants. Before Bluebird Care I had a career in Nursing – Trained at the Royal Free Hospital in 1978 and also trained in Aesthetics and Micropigmentation, worked in USA and Paris before coming back to the UK. In 2012 I joined Bluebird Care and am now work in the live-in team as a care service specialist. I enjoy meeting people and assessing their care and support needs to ensure their safe wellbeing. I like that my role in care means that I am able to support vulnerable people allowing them to stay in their own home and be safe.

I joined Bluebird Care in November 2012, before that I worked for another family run care company.

I worked as a carer first, then progressed to the role of Care Coordinator and then Deputy Manager. In 2021 I moved into a role in the recruitment team, I cover the Sussex Weald and Reigate areas. I enjoy helping and interviewing candidates. It's great to see them progress onto becoming great carers and part of our wonderful team across the region.

I am Sandra and I joined Bluebird Care in November 2021 having worked in care for over 6 years. My role is to implement the strategic vision of the franchise owners, Paul and Kate Barry. I work closely with the teams based across the mid-south to continue to grow the business in capacity and quality.

We are Paul and Kate Barry - the Franchise Owners. We have been Directors for almost 10 years. Between us both we lead the company's strategic vision and continually develop our CQC compliance.
