Andrew Bryan
Director

Bluebird Care Rushcliffe and Melton is owned and managed by Andrew Bryan who is a FELLOW member of the Institute of Directors. Andrew has over 30 years’ experience in senior management roles and providing high quality services to various customers throughout the Utilities and Financial sectors. Andrew moved away from the corporate life to concentrate on doing something that would make a real, tangible difference to people’s lives. With a desire to run his own business that could have a positive impact on the community, Andrew joined the Bluebird Care national network in 2014 and opened Bluebird Care Rushcliffe & Melton.

 

Andrew is passionate about delivering premium, person-centred home care of the highest quality.

Nowadays, it is common place for people to want to stay in the comfort of their own homes for as long as possible. Our personalised home care service enables this to happen, and we are delighted to be able to offer the highest quality care to those in need within the Rushcliffe & Melton region every single day.

Peter Bryan
Registered Care Manager (Bsc PgDip CMgr FCMI)

Peter joined the family business in 2015 as the Registered Care Manager, and is responsible for overseeing the efficient running of the business alongside Andrew. Peter has a clear vision for the service and embodies the Bluebird Care ethos, striving to deliver high quality care, on time, every time. Peter has been the driving force behind many positive developments in our mission to craft an outstanding care service which revolutionises the way home care is delivered to the local people of our community. Peter has a well-established professional background in healthcare, having started out as a healthcare assistant at Queen’s Hospital Burton whilst working towards his BSc (Honours) degree in Biomedical Science, and then specialising in Diabetic Retinopathy at Nottingham University Hospitals (NHS). Since moving into the domiciliary care sector, Peter has attained a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and is qualified to deliver training in Safeguarding, Basic Life Support, and Dementia Care. In 2024 he achieved Chartered Fellow status with CMI (Chartered Managers Institute) via the Senior Leadership Level 7 Post Graduate Diploma / Apprenticeship. He is currently working towards his MBA (Masters Degree in Business).

 

Peter is dedicated to ensuring our service is Safe, Effective, Caring, Responsive, and Well-led.

Here at Bluebird Care Rushcliffe and Melton, we like to think of ourselves as a strong family unit, working hard to make a positive difference to the local community, by providing excellent home care and support by like-minded individuals. It has been, and continues to be the most rewarding journey within my career to date. I am honoured to have the pleasure of meeting so many inspiring people who, with support from our devoted team of care experts, can continue to lead a full and enjoyable lives in the comfort of their own homes.

Helen Wilson
Supervisor

Helen joined Bluebird Care Rushcliffe and Melton in its infancy and quickly instilled her own ethos of delivering exceptional  home care and support across the service, drawing upon a wealth of professional experience. Helen has enjoyed a prosperous career within the Health and Social Care sector spanning over 30 years. Having risen through the ranks, Helen started out as a care and support worker before being promoted to senior carer, supervisor, and care manager. She is passionate about providing excellent customer service and creating a learning culture within the business that champions best practice and promotes an inclusive, friendly, and supportive atmosphere for staff and customers alike. Helen brings a myriad of knowledge and skills to the table, having attained her NVQ Level 5 Diploma in Management & Leadership and having worked with adults with challenging behaviour and learning disabilities over a culmination of 11 years. She is also integral to our in-house staff training programme, qualified to deliver training in Moving & Handling, Medication, Mental Capacity, End of Life Care, and has an A1 Assessors Award.

 

Helen is committed to providing outstanding customer service.

I joined Bluebird Care Rushcliffe and Melton shortly after it opened in 2014. The supervisor role was perfect as it utilises my wealth of experience in staff supervision, delivering training and monitoring the quality of service delivery. As soon as I joined this family-run franchise, I was made to feel part of the team and have always felt valued. I am passionate about empowering our customers and working in a person-centred manner. I also strive to ensure that all our care staff are trained to the highest standard so that they can deliver the highest quality of home care to meet our customers’ needs.

Steph Hathaway
Coordinator

Steph has been with Bluebird Care Rushcliffe and Melton since its inception, and has played an essential part in developing and growing the business. With a background in customer service, Steph has excelled in her role as coordinator by demonstrating that having a friendly, professional and honest approach are vital attributes required to establish a personable and trustworthy brand. Steph has a level 3 diploma in business administration and is highly experienced in the day-to-day running of the service, whether that be rota planning, providing emergency cover, or managing HR aspects of the business. Steph enjoys the variety and challenges her job role invites, and she feels privileged to have had the opportunity to be involved in the evolution of Bluebird Care Rushcliffe and Melton right from the very beginning. Recognising the crucial role technology plays in providing person-centred care, Steph injects youth, energy, and innovation that will help keep us at the forefront of the new digital age of home care.

 

Steph is at the heart of Bluebird Care Rushcliffe & Melton. She is determined to sustain and further-develop our excellent internal quality assurance processes.

Having been a part of Bluebird Care Rushcliffe and Melton’s journey right from its humble beginnings, it fills me with great pride to have been involved in its growth over the years. Starting up a new business is never easy, but I am truly grateful to have had the opportunity to challenge myself and expand my knowledge in the domiciliary care sector. From going door-to-door handing out leaflets when we were first establishing ourselves, to now fully managing the customer care rosters, it is gratifying to feel that I have developed professionally and personally in tandem with the business. To embark on a career which centres on making a positive, visible difference to our customer’s lives is both rewarding and a genuine privilege.
