They say ‘home is where the heart is’ and we at Bluebird Care keep our customers safe and cared for in theirs.

More people than ever are choosing to receive care at home, but what makes them choose Bluebird Care?

Our staff members are the face of our company and it’s our care teams that enable our customers to stay in the comfort of their own homes. Our teams provide vital care and support as well as building and growing relationships, bringing smiles to the faces of our customers, laughing, sharing experiences, listening to stories and sometimes wiping away tears.

Being a part of our dedicated Bluebird Care team is immensely rewarding, but it also demands commitment and professionalism. Working with some of the most vulnerable members of society can give enormous satisfaction to the right person. It offers the opportunity to make a real difference to people’s lives; a vocation rather than just a job.

We are looking for people who are passionate about great care. If you share our commitment to provide the best home care services, get in touch with us today.

Meet our team of care professionals

Helen Williams
Carer

Helen joined Bluebird Care Herefordshire as a Care Assistant after a career in catering which included running her own business. Helen quickly took to the role and was delighted to be appointed Care Champion last year, her role being to uphold the standards across the team to ensure the best possible care is delivered to our customers.

It was a huge surprise for Helen to also to be a nominated finalist in the Home Carer category at the Hereford Times Health & Social Care Awards last September, and an even bigger surprise to receive the award! For Helen, it makes all the hard work so worthwhile, bringing a smile to our customers’ faces and having a laugh with them.

Helen is a farmer’s daughter, born and bred in Leominster. This enables her to relate to many of our rural customers who come from farming backgrounds themselves.

In her spare time Helen enjoys spending time with her partner, holidaying abroad and whipping up tasty concoctions in the kitchen!

Hazel Godsall
Franchise Owner

Hazel is the owner and sole director of the company.

Hazel originally had a career in the accountancy profession and her management experience gained through international companies should provide a sound basis on which to lead and develop Bluebird Care (Herefordshire).

Wanting to work more closely with people rather than figures, Hazel decided to retrain as a financial planner and until recently  she specialised in advising later life clients on all aspects of their finances. It was seeing the effects on her clients and their families when they had to move into residential care which first sparked Hazel’s interest in domiciliary care.

In time this led to the desire to set up an ethical business providing high quality care at home.

After careful consideration Hazel decided to align herself to Bluebird Care as their sound values and integrity reflect the way she wanted to run her own business.

Hazel has also trained to become a Dementia Champion in order to help in the campaign to create Dementia Friendly communities.

I am passionate about providing customers with care of the highest quality, by investing in our staff through continuous training and recruiting only the best. I aim to deliver to our Herefordshire customers the high calibre service they deserve to enable them to remain living independently in familiar surroundings for as long as possible. I am also committed to support staff who have the desire to take further qualifications which will enable them to develop their careers within this business.

Sue Troelsen
Care Manager

Sue, originally from Cornwall, is an ex landlady who has always been passionate in providing a second-to-none service to customers.

Over the past decade, Sue has taken this passion into the domiciliary care industry, as she strongly believes in supporting people in their own homes. She is 100% committed, and thrives on building and supporting a team of dedicated carers with award winning Bluebird Care Herefordshire, who will deliver an outstanding quality of care.

In her free time, Sue enjoys holidays, her family and shopping for clothes.

Tracy Gordon
Care Coordinator

Tracy joined Bluebird Care Herefordshire in Summer 2020 as our Care Coordinator.

Tracy has extensive previous experience of working in care, having worked with adults with autism, complex medical needs and challenging behaviour.

Tracy lives in Leominster with her son and daughter, and dog Ruby. In her spare time, she enjoys long walks with Ruby, travelling and swimming.

Stacey Tipping
Care Supervisor

Stacey Tipping joined us in September 2020 as our Care Supervisor.

Stacey comes to us with over 10 years of Domiciliary Care experience, and is keen to make a positive difference in people’s lives.

Stacey says:

“I am passionate about supporting people to live as independently as possible within their own homes, delivering care to the highest standard.”

Stacey will be on hand to supervise our care teams, provide care assessments for new customers, auditing our care service and covering care calls. The role promises to keep her busy, as Bluebird Care is expanding, and we now have over 20 care workers in the team, working across the country, especially in more rural areas such as the Golden Valley, Hay-on-Wye and west Herefordshire.

Outside of work, Stacey loves going on long walks, and watching her daughters play football - and sometimes play a game or two herself. She also enjoys spending time with family and friends.

Kate Thomas
Social Media

Kate joined our team earlier this year, and is responsible for letting our customers and the wider public know about all the exciting things which are happening at Bluebird Care Herefordshire through our social media channels and our website.

From practical information about how we are adapting our care services to keep our staff and customers safe due to Covid-19, to sharing more light hearted stories about the amusing things which happen in the daily work of our carers, her regular posts have kept us amazed at how far afield we can reach through the wonders of social media.

Kate was born in Herefordshire, and knows the county well having run her own business here for many years. She lives rurally with her family and much loved pets.
