Kat Thomas
Director

After working overseas and seeing first hand the health care that was provided, when I moved back to the UK I had a drive to work in the health care industry and ensure that people were receiving the best care possible. Prior to starting with Bluebird care I worked in the Ambulance service, so saw the industry from a bigger perspective.

I joined Bluebird Care 6 years ago as the Care Coordinator and progressed through the ranks to Care Manager. This drove my passion for top quality care delivery and enabled me to see the different roles within the team.  As the Director and owner of Bluebird Care Gosport, I firmly believe that what Bluebird Care stands for is exactly the type of quality care provision that I want to be associated with.

I judge myself daily by whether the service we provide would be good enough for one of my own family members.  I believe that a healthy and fulfilled lifestyle does not stop at the front door and I am passionate about enriching the community as a whole. We have a fantastic team of compassionate and caring staff who are dedicated to delivering the best care and support.
 

Stuart McIndoe
Business Operations Manager

Having worked in the home care industry previously, coming to Bluebird Care was a welcome choice. I started working with Bluebird Care Fareham & Gosport in 2016, looking after the company’s accounts and also the recruitment. I have really enjoyed meeting new people as they have looked to start their new career in care as well as having the opportunity to re-inspire those who have worked in the industry for some time.

After moving to Bluebird Care Gosport in 2019, they gave me the opportunity to change my role, taking on the Business Operations Manager post. This role is a fantastic opportunity to be involved with all the business’ processes, the accounts, the team and our overall position in the market.  I am looking to be working on the business’  exciting plans with the director and hope that we can continue to improve the lives of everyone we come into contact with.

Angji Carr
Bookkeeper and Recruitment Administrator

I am delighted to be joining Bluebird Care Gosport as Bookkeeper and Recruitment Administrator.

My background is predominantly in accountancy, but since July 2018 I have been working in the Care Sector and genuinely feel I have found where I belong.

I enjoy crunching numbers but have discovered that I have a true passion for people and that working in Care allows me to help and support those around me, whether Carers or those who are privileged enough to reach old age, and contribute positively to their lives.

In future, I hope to be able to share my love of all things Art & Craft and bring a little enrichment to our Customers lives by holding Craft Sessions at our Gosport Offices … watch this space!

Becky Simpson
Coordinator

I hold an apprenticeship in retail. After 16 years in retail I sought a change of direction and decided to pursue a career in care in order to make a more meaningful difference to people’s lives, largely influenced by my 2 sisters' experience of working in care. I have been employed as a care assistant and a care coordinator for Bluebird Care since May 2015 and I find that my experience as a care worker puts me in a strong position to understand both the needs of our customers and care assistants and how vital coordination is to ensure a positive experience for both parties. I find my position as a care coordinator challenging yet very rewarding. Although it can be difficult to get the logistics right, I take pride in knowing that I perform to the best of my abilities to ensure customer and care assistant happiness. The thing I love the most about working for Bluebird Care Gosport is that it is like working within one large family, all the staff and customers are all so friendly and caring.

Katy Wood
Customer Supervisor

I have always enjoyed working with people and after a volunteering trip in Africa, I returned knowing I wanted to work in the care sector. I have been working in independent living since 2016 as a support worker, coordinator and now customer supervisor. I enjoy visiting customers in their own homes knowing that its the best place for them and I endeavour to ensure we do as much as we can to enrich their lives. 

Josie Hutsby
Customer Welfare Supervisor

I started working for Bluebird Care in September 2018. I started as a Care Assistant, I had never worked as a care assistant before so I was a bit apprehensive however I loved every minute of being a care assistant it was great to work with such a fantastic team and have the support that I did. I enjoyed working with our customers and had a massive passion for helping others and supporting individuals to achieve their best quality of life. I was then offered the role of a Marketing Executive, this gives me the chance to learn more about the company and to organise events for our customers and the community. I discovered I was massively passionate about the welfare of our customers, I believe that we can help provide the best quality of life. Kat and Stuart then offered me the job of a well-being supervisor. I was delighted by this news as I could then help offer new opportunities to our customers such as attending events and offering companionship as some of our customers live alone and find it difficult to be apart of the community. When working as a Care Assistant I got on so well with our customers and I built fantastic relationships with them. This role allows me to be more hands-on with our customers. I am very excited to help others and make sure everyone’s well-being is the best it can be.
