Meet our team of care professionals

Jonathan & Vanessa Billington

Jonathan’s family have worked in the social care sector for nearly 40 years. Prior to Bluebird Care, Jonathan spent most of his career in account management servicing large multinationals within the IT and Telecoms sector. Vanessa is a trained therapist with 15 years of experience in providing health and beauty treatments and managing key accounts. Together they share a passion for quality and for ‘getting things right’ for their customers.

It gives us great satisfaction not only to be able to provide care, but also offer career opportunities to local people who are equally passionate about helping others in the community.

Kayley Ginn
Registered Care Manager

Kayley joined Bluebird Care in October 2015 as a Care Coordinator bringing six years of previous experience in a similar role to us. She has steadily learned all aspects of our business and was the obvious choice for the Manager role when the post became vacant. Kayley is hugely supportive to every single member of her team, and that has such a positive impact on the quality of the service that we provide to our customers. She continues to nurture and select the very best recruits to join our team, to ensure that as the business grows we maintain the highest standards of service for our customers.

Gill Ansell
Deputy Care Manager

Gill began her career in social care when she joined Bluebird Care as a Care Assistant right at the beginning nearly 10 years ago following a successful career in logistics. Ready for a change, she took to her new career and has never looked back. In that time Gill has been a Care Supervisor, progressing to Customer Services Manager and now Deputy Care Manager. It is her unrivalled knowledge of every aspect of our business that is so valuable, Gill knows every customer, every staff member and has made herself competent across all of our systems. Above all Gill is always keen to help and support anyone in any way she can and is always a friendly voice on the end of the phone if you need some advice or help.

Charlotte Curtis
Care Supervisor

Charlotte decided on a career change after working for a number of years in a school kitchen. She wanted to make two important changes to her career, to get out the kitchen and into the community and to help others. Social Care delivered both those changes for her and we were fortunate that she chose Bluebird Care. Charlotte took to the work immediately and her regular round of customers loved her. She puts her heart and sole into her work and progressed quickly to her new role of Care Supervisor and continues to excel at that. Charlotte enjoys spending time with her three children in the great outdoors.

Tatiana Bulgaru
Care Coordinator

Tatiana joined Bluebird Care in May 2016 and has been a cornerstone of our care team for many years, and was promoted to the position of Senior Care Assistant in Feb 2017. Born and raised in Romania, Tatiana has a degree in History from the State Pedagogical University, Chisinau. The role of Care Coordinator is both an important and challenging, as Tatiana is responsible for making sure our care team are exactly where they should be at any given time. It was only when Tatiana helped out in the office for a few days, that we realised that she had a natural talent for this role, and the rest as they say is history!

Jackie Boekman

Jackie is our Bookkeeper and brings 30 years of experience to Bluebird Care Elmbridge & Runnymede. As well as working for us Jackie qualified in 2014, after five years studying, as a counsellor, specialising currently in bereavement. She naturally has great empathy and a passion for people.
