Meet our team of care professionals

Olivia and Jayne Graham
Directors

Mother and daughter, Jayne and Olivia, are the directors at Bluebird Care Durham North. They understand the problems faced by family and friends when they are trying to find excellent care for their loved ones.

 

Olivia’s degree is in Educational Studies and she joined Bluebird as a carer after leaving University. She was promoted to Deputy Manager and when the opportunity arose, she decided to purchase the business. Her studies have provided a sound basis of understanding the importance of delivery of training and she has seen first-hand the challenges faced by carers and clients alike.

 

After studying for a degree in Natural Science, Jayne became a primary school teacher. Having worked in special schools, she has knowledge of learning disabilities and how to deal with different behaviours. She is patient and empathetic and these qualities lend themselves to working in the care industry. She wants to provide a thriving and unique service for Bluebird Care Durham North.

 

Together, with well trained, wonderful staff they provide a bespoke service so that you can have peace of mind. The communication channels are always open and the clients care is the top priority.

 

Debbie Mould
Registered Care Manager

Hello my name is Debbie. I am the  Registered Manager with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) for Bluebird Care (Durham North). I have worked in the care sector for 24 years, supporting vulnerable young adults with challenging behavior and learning disabilities as well as domiciliary care and day services. I have worked for the National Health Service, local authority and the private health sector. My most current post was for the Oaklea Trust where I worked for 14 years as a Team Manager working in a large geographical area of County Durham.  This entailed managing between three and five supported living homes, managing staff teams and ensuring that the customers received the best possible personalised service.
 

I am passionate about ensuring that we offer a very personal service to each of our customers.  Our aim is to provide exceptionally high quality care to people in their own homes. Our care is very 'person-specific' so that we as a team can continue to meet our customers' changing needs.

I ensure this happens by recruiting the right people as our care workers. I always look for people who are passionate about caring and helping others and who are interested in undertaking the training to enable them to develop their role within Bluebird Care.

My role as a Registered Care Manager encompasses responsibility for all operations within Bluebird Care Durham North. I am also responsible for all staff training for our team, along with all the essential training that is required to be able to perform the duties of a Bluebird care worker. I also ensure that all staff have access to study for their NVQ in Health and Social Care and any additional training which will help them in their role.

I hold a Diploma in Health and Social Care, I hold level 2, 3, and a Level 5 in Care Management.

I have completed many courses in the care sector covering all aspects of Safeguarding, Medication, Mental Capacity Act, and DOLS.

I have also completed Train the Trainer courses in the Principles of Safe & Appropriate Handling of Medicines level 1 & 2 and Train the Trainer in the Moving and Handling of People. I am also a Dementia Champion.  This enables me to ensure that all staff are 'dementia aware' and that we are able to provide a dementia friendly service.
