Indy & Kam Goraya
Owners

Bluebird Care Solihull is led by husband and wife, Indy and Kam Goraya.

Having spent almost 10 years in the corporate world, they decided to take the experience and skillset they had acquired and apply this to something meaningful in their local community, taking over Bluebird Care Solihull in early 2021.

With their experience in professional services, they know the key to success is through delivering a high quality service to customers, underpinned by hard work and a collaborative approach with their team. They bring this same mindset to Bluebird and are committed to delivering the highest standard of care to both their customers and their staff. 

Leveraging their experience working with care providers and regulated businesses, they are confident in their ability to achieve their number one priority - delivering high quality, bespoke home care to their customers in the comfort and familiarity of their own homes.

They also recognise the importance of their care team and are committed to ongoing training and development to support them not only in the provision of high quality home care but to also achieve their individual career goals.

Providing bespoke, high quality home care to our customers is at the heart of what we do. We want to ensure that the kind of care our customers receive is at the level we would expect for our own families. Having a team of dedicated and motivated carers who go above and beyond is critical to this. Everything we do is a team effort, and our carers are the heart of our business. Operations Director

Having started my career in care 4 years ago, I am lucky enough to say that I have found a career in a sector that is not only rewarding, but one that I love. During my time in care I have seen the difference the highest quality care can make, not just to the lives of our customers but also the lives of their families and loved ones. Providing high quality home care to individuals allows them to live their lives with the feeling of safety and independence that can only be gained from within their own homes.

I am proud to work for Bluebird Care Solihull alongside an inspirational owners, Indy and Kam, who are determined to make a difference in the social care sector. It is my role to help support our team of dedicated office staff and carers to ensure the customer experience from initial contact througout their care journey with us is of the highest standard. I have done this successfully not just in the home care sector but also the luxury care home setting and bring with me valuable insights on what exceptional care should look like.

Sonjha Young
Registered Care Manager

I have worked for Bluebird Care Solihull for over 6 years and have always found it to be a very professional environment with a constant focus on quality in the delivery of care and customer service. I began my career with Bluebird Care as a care assistant and was promoted within a year to care co-ordinator, then in January 2017 I was promoted into the Care Manager position.

I have completed my level 2 QCF in Health and Social Care, level 5 QCF in Leadership and Management, Level 2 in The Principles of Dementia Care and many other distance learning courses to further my skills and knowledge in the health and social care sector.  

I am a trained trainer in Medication Administration, Dementia, End of Life, Moving and Handling of people, Safeguarding Adults and Basic Life Support and CPR.

At Bluebird Care Solihull I have always felt there is a sense of belonging. We have a great support network and company culture - everyone shares the same vision and is dedicated to our values. I think it's a fantastic business to work for with constant opportunities for personal development and growth, and I truly believe that I am a good example of the career opportunities that exist.

Ellie Cockbill
Recruitment and Business Development Manager

Having recently joined Bluebird Care Solihull as Recruitment and Business Development Manager, this is my first role within the health care sector.  

Growing up, my mother ran care homes all over Solihull and the surrounding areas, so it is an industry that has always been close to home. Even more so after my nan became ill and I had to provide care for her. It was in doing this that I really felt I could utilise my skill set I had acquired from years in corporate management and transfer them across to working in a sector I feel so passionately about. 

It is my role to ensure that we are not only recruiting the right talent of the highest quality, but to also support our team in guaranteeing we maintain our high-quality standards.  

I am lucky enough to work closely with an amazing team who have welcomed me on board with open arms and I honestly cannot wait to watch the business grow! 

Louise Cockbill
Care Coordinator

I have worked in care for 10 years, the last 3 being with Bluebird Care Solihull. I started off out in the field as a care assistant and loved it from the get go - meeting and getting to know customers, supporting them and their family members to provide the best level of personalised care that I could. After a little it became more like visiting friends and family!


After my first year I was awarded Carer of the Year and I was promoted to the role of Care Coordinator. This role allows me to work closely with our team of carers and our wonderful customers, ensuring we provide the quality level of service we are known for. In this role I have insight into different areas of the business which also allows me to progress in a professional capacity.


I honestly feel proud to work at Bluebird Solihull and for the opportunities it has given me. We have an amazing team providing high standards of care and positive working relationships and I would highly recommend to anyone with a caring nature looking for a career in care to come and join us!

Terri Salmon
Care Supervisor

started with Bluebird Care Solihull in February 2020, having been in the care industry for 9 years. Having progressed within my career by completing my NVQ level 2 and 3, the previous companies I had worked for didn’t offer me further opportunities to progress and for me to keep learning but immediately, I knew I would have this chance at Bluebird.

After completing my 3 month probation period as a carer I was promoted to Senior Carer. Bluebird had given me the drive to progress again, providing me with the relevant training to broaden my knowledge and skillsets and understanding within my roles.

In August 2021, I was promoted to Care Supervisor, which I thoroughly enjoy. This role has given me the chance to work with and support our carers and ensure they get the training and development they require. I also have regular contact with customers and their families which helps our focus to consistently provide that high quality care that we are known for. 

I work alongside an amazing team who all work together to provide high quality care to our customers which is at the heart of what we do.
