Meet our team of care professionals

Lisa Bidwell
Registered Care Manager

Lisa has a wealth of experience in the Care industry working on and off for 26 years. She started working for Bluebird Care in July 2019 before being promoted to Care Supervisor in November 2019 and in October 2021 took on a role as Assistant manager before becoming a Registered Care Manager in March 2022 for Lincoln & South Lincolnshire.In begining of 2024 Lisa took on additional role of also becoming Registered Care Manager for North East Lincolnshire. She is a valued member of our team and always goes above and beyond for our customers.

Samantha Carter
Floating Care Supervisor

Sam has joined Bluebird Care in 2020,  she has spent three and a half years working as a carer before transitioning to the role of a floating supervisor. Prior to joining Bluebird Care, Sam had no experience in the care industry, having previously worked in coffee shops.

What Sam enjoys most about the care industry is the opportunity to meet a diverse range of people and to help them in meaningful ways. She finds it incredibly rewarding to witness the progress our customers make, especially those dealing with mental health challenges. Sam believes every day in this field brings new experiences and no two days are the same, which keeps the work engaging and fulfilling.

Outside of work, Sam cherishes spending time with family and friends. She is an avid movie watcher, with a particular fondness for Disney films. Additionally, Sam enjoys the creative and relaxing hobby of cross-stitching.

Nicola Blow
Care Supervisor

Nicola joined Bluebird Care in March 2022, as a care assistant, bringing with her an impressive 22 years of experience in the care industry. Throughout her career, she has worked in numerous care homes as a carer and senior carer. Additionally, Nicola spent 8 years as a nursing assistant at Lincoln County Hospital with the NHS, gaining a wealth of knowledge and expertise in various aspects of care.

Nicola loves the care industry because of the diverse range of people she meets from all backgrounds. Her role as a care supervisor allows her to connect with individuals, listen to their stories, and make a positive impact on their lives.

In her spare time, Nicola enjoys a wide range of crafting activities, with paper crafting being her favorite. Her creativity and passion for crafting provide a wonderful balance to her professional life, allowing her to express herself and relax.

Amanda Broughton
Care Supervisor

Amanda has been a valuable member of the Bluebird Care team since November 2023, bringing with her 14 years of extensive experience in the care industry. Her career began in a dementia care home where she started as a care assistant and worked her way up through various roles to reach her current position. Amanda’s lifelong dedication to care has shaped her into a highly skilled and compassionate professional.

Amanda loves the dynamic nature of the care industry, where no two days are ever the same. She finds great fulfillment in the heartfelt thanks she receives from those she helps, making her feel that the work she does is truly worthwhile. Amanda’s passion for care began at a young age, and she has always known she wanted to dedicate her life to helping others.

In her free time, Amanda enjoys watching her favorite soap operas and wrestling matches. She often attends live wrestling events whenever she can. Amanda is also an animal lover and enjoys visiting wildlife parks. Additionally, she has a keen interest in reading, particularly true crime books.

Gary Wilson
Care Supervisor

Gary has been a dedicated member of the Bluebird Care team for 22 months, starting in October 2022 as a carer. His commitment and expertise quickly led to his promotion to mentor and now to the role of Care Supervisor for South Lincs. With approximately 20 years of experience in the care industry, Gary's career began as a senior support worker in a forensic unit. He then transitioned to the NHS, where he served as a Health Care Support Worker and later as an Assistant Practitioner on the emergency assessment ward for six years. Following this, Gary worked as a supervisor at a day care center, caring for adults with learning disabilities, Down syndrome, and autism.

Gary thrives in the care industry, embracing the daily challenges and finding great satisfaction in helping people remain comfortably in their own homes. His extensive experience and compassionate approach make him a valuable asset to the Bluebird Care team.

Outside of work, Gary enjoys spending time with his Belgian Malinois dog, Mercy, and taking long walks together. He is also an avid motorbike enthusiast and loves riding his bike during the summer months.

Hayley Broadberry
Care Plan Administrator

Hayley joined Bluebird Care in October 2023, bringing extensive experience from various roles within the care industry. Before joining Bluebird Care, Hayley worked as a manager in a care home and as a care worker in the community. Additionally, Hayley has a strong background in mental health support, which has equipped her with a comprehensive understanding of the diverse needs of those she cares for.

Hayley loves working in care because it is both challenging and rewarding. Each day is different, and seeing the positive impact of the care provided on individuals' lives is truly fulfilling.

Outside of work, Hayley enjoys spending time with her family and friends, cherishing these moments of connection and relaxation.
