Bluebird Care St Helens and Warrington are looking for care supervisors to join our ever growing family! A COMPETITIVE salary. 4 days a week with opportunity to pick up extra hours. Regular shifts planned for the whole year! 

Must have care experience, driving license, good ICT skills and be a team player!

Supervisors can have access to company cars but must have own car available.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prior to each service commencing, carry out with customers (and/or their chosen representatives) an assessment of what the customer needs and what they would like to achieve from their care and support, together with a risk assessment

• Create and agree a written individually tailored plan of care and support that respects the customer’s wishes and promotes their dignity and privacy. Agree appropriate risk control measures to reduce identified risks. Keep care and support plans up to date

• Provide the customer and, where appropriate their representatives, with information about the service so they are clear about what to expect and how they can raise any concerns

• Keep all information about customers and their families secure and confidential except where policy require you to share to protect the interests of our customers

• Carry out regular reviews with customers in line with the Bluebird Care Model.

ESSENTIAL

  1. Caring and compassionate towards people in need of care and support and those providing these services
  2. Respect for people suffering from a range of medical conditions with different backgrounds and beliefs to your own. Commitment to anti-discriminatory care practice
  3. Self-motivated and keen to learn. Willing to seek guidance when needed and follow instructions
  4. Excellent time keeper and reliable
  5. Good understanding of the needs of people who require care and support at home and the principles of good care practice
  6. Relevant social care qualification, or willing to work towards gaining this qualification
  7. Understanding of what confidentiality means in relation to homecare services and why this is important
  8. Good understanding of health and safety matters in relation to homecare services and of safeguarding people at risk of harm
  9. Experience of communicating clearly and building positive working relationships with people who use social care services and social and health care professional
  10. Experience of care services
  11. Able to write clear risk assessments, care and support plans and other records
  12. Must have care experience, driving license, good ICT skills
