As a Team Leader, you’ll be based at our office in West Park, LS16, Leeds. You’ll be responsible for coaching, support and mentoring your own team of Care Experts living in the North & West Leeds area, providing support to our customers living in the North & West Leeds area. You’ll support your team in many ways including regular catch ups, spot checks, competency checks, mentoring and training sessions.

We can’t care for our customers if we don’t take good care of our team so to make this possible, we offer between £27,000 to £28,000 ( including on-call and bonuses) per annum plus lots more….

£25,000 basic per annum on a permanent (40 hour per week contract)

Additional approx. £2,000 per annum for operating on call system 1 in 4 weekends and 1 evening per week.

Bonus Scheme reviewed each year and currently set at 4% of salary upon achievements of agreed targets

What does the role involve?

In a typical day you would…

Enable our customers to continue to live in their own homes, enjoying happy, safe and fulfilled lives. Compassion, excellent communication and organisation skills together with a calm and caring manner are vital for this important role in our company.

Receive and handle new business enquiries from initial contact, through to setting up a new care package.

Hold responsibility for a caseload of customers, ensure high levels of satisfaction, complete regular and thorough customer reviews both face to face and via telephone, updating care plans and following up any actions.

Motivate your team, communicate well with them using a variety of methods, keep them updated with important information and share good practice.

Attend multidisciplinary meetings to achieve the best outcomes for our customers.

Proactively seek feedback and respond to customer and other’s feedback, comments and enquiries.

Ensure the wellbeing and safety of our customers, responding promptly to concerns and issues and clearly documenting plans and actions taken.

Act as a role model, living the company’s values at all times without exception, sharing a passion for working in a forward thinking, premium quality care business.

Provide line management and motivation to a team of Care Experts with catch ups, spot checks and competency visits, as well as being a general point of contact for guidance.

Keep staff and customer records up to date.

Carry out audits as required in accordance with our governance programme.

Have a voice, share your thoughts and ideas with your colleagues to participate in our culture of continuous improvement.

Support Care Experts by mentoring and coaching, you may also be involved in HR processes.

Participate in the on-call rota, which ensures that we operate a safe and smooth running service, supporting Care Experts where needed.

Above all, you will be building positive and trusting relationships with your colleagues, customers, their families, and other relevant professionals, using your knowledge and care best practice to ensure positive outcomes.

We work in an environment where we’re all happy to roll our sleeves up and get stuck in, supporting each other and making each other the odd brew (Yorkshire Tea of course!)

Are you eligible to apply for this role? You’ll need……

Right to work in the UK (We do not have a sponsorship licence so cannot offer sponsorship or employ anyone who has sponsorship elsewhere at this time).

Full driving licence, with access to a car for work, including class 1 business insurance.

Health and social care qualification level 2 or above.

At least one year of experience in the health and social care sector.

Experience of coaching or managing people.

Flexible and able to take part in the on call rota - (approx. 1 evening per week and 1 in 4 weekends on call).

A good understanding of the needs of people who require care and support at home.

Be caring, compassionate, professional and smartly presented.

Excellent levels of literacy, numeracy and IT skills.

Excellent customer service skills and ability to build rapport with people from all walks of life.

Be able to work the hours of this role, which are Monday to Friday 8:30am – 5:00pm with on call duties (approx. 1 evening and week and 1 in 4 weekends). Occasional visits may be required out of office hours to carry out in the field checks with Care Experts who work evenings or weekends.
