Bluebird Care Bristol is launching an exciting new service for children and young people, and we are looking for an experienced Clinical Children’s Care Manager to play a key role in its development. Working four days per week with a salary of £40,000, you will help build and deliver a safe, compassionate and truly child-centred service.
Applicants must be a Registered Nurse with an active NMC PIN and have relevant experience supporting children or young people.

Responsibilities
- Support the launch, development and safe operation of our new children’s service in Bristol.
- Complete comprehensive assessments and develop child-centred care plans, risk assessments and clinical support plans.
- Work closely with children, young people and their families to ensure care reflects their individual needs, routines, wishes and goals.
- Provide clinical oversight of medication, delegated healthcare tasks, emergency protocols and individual staff competencies.
- Promote a strong safeguarding culture, ensuring concerns are recognised, recorded and escalated appropriately.
- Supervise and develop Care Professionals, ensuring they have the training, skills and confidence to provide safe, high-quality care.
- Work collaboratively with schools, social workers, commissioners and other health and care professionals.
- Assess new referrals to ensure the service can safely meet each child or young person’s needs.
- Monitor service quality through reviews, observations, audits and feedback, taking prompt action where improvements are required.
- Support the continued growth of the children’s service without compromising safety, quality or the individual experience of children and their families.
- Participate in the out-of-hours emergency on-call rota when required.
