This Tuesday, we set the stage on fire at the Leaders in Care Awards in Birmingham, and we couldn't be prouder! We were there in full force to back not one, not two, but five phenomenal finalists who were up for well-deserved recognition.
Let's give a thunderous cheer to our incredible finalists:
- Nicola Mills, Bluebird Care Cardiff South & The Vale - Frontline Carer of the Year
- Bluebird Care Bromsgrove & Redditch - Care Provider of the Year
- Samantha Ward - Bluebird Care Bromsgrove & Redditch - Registered Manager of the Year
- Anoop Sekhon, Bluebird Care Greenwich - Executive of the Year
- Lucy Baxter, Bluebird Care Holywood - Leader of the Future
These folks are the true heroes of our industry, and just being nominated is an absolute triumph in itself, especially among so many like-minded, dedicated individuals at a prestigious sector awards event like this.
And we're thrilled to announce that we had a shining star on that night!
Nicola Mills, the heart and soul of Bluebird Care Cardiff South & The Vale, walked away with the 2023 Frontline Carer of the Year award, and boy, did she deserve it!
The Frontline Carer award is no small feat. It's all about honoring a domiciliary care worker who's gone the extra mile this year to ensure our customers are looked after to the highest standards, no matter what.
The judges had this to say about Nicola:
Nicola has demonstrated exceptional dedication towards improving the lives of people needing care. With a priority of combatting social isolation and supporting those with dementia, she launched hubs, activity sessions, and strives for social care perfection. Her heartfelt commitment, which also includes educational outreach and fundraising, has profoundly impacted the lives of people who come her way. This, making the winner an exemplary frontline worker.
We couldn't be prouder of Nicola and all our fantastic finalists. Their passion, commitment, and hard work exemplify the very best of Bluebird Care, and we can't wait to see what they'll achieve next.
