Female Support Worker – Complex Care Illogan, Cornwall Part-time 24hours per week | Days, Nights & Alternate Weekends Supporting a young lady to live life her way We are looking for Female Support Workers to join a dedicated care team supporting a young lady in her own home in Illogan. This is a complex care role , focused on providing consistent, one-to-one support within a structured 24-hour care package. You will be part of a small, reliable team helping her live a full and meaningful life at home. Important Information Before Applying Applicants must hold a full UK driving licence Applicants must have access to their own reliable vehicle We are unable to offer visa sponsorship for this position About the Role You will be supporting a young lady living with a brain injury who enjoys getting out and about, including beach visits, boating, exploring new places and spending time with friends . This role is about more than care — it’s about enabling independence, building trust and supporting someone to enjoy the things that matter most to them. Care is delivered as: 2:1 support during day shifts 1:1 support during night shifts Shifts include long days, sleep-ins, nights and alternate weekends , as part of a structured rota. Due to the nature of the role, a good level of physical fitness is required to support mobility and outdoor activities. Key Responsibilities Your role will include: Delivering personal care with dignity and respect Supporting with daily routines and activities Assisting with mobility and accessing the community Supporting social activities and hobbies Providing companionship and emotional support Following structured care plans Working closely with the wider care team to ensure consistency A Typical Day No two days are the same, but a typical shift may include: Supporting morning routines and personal care Heading out for a trip to the beach or local area Assisting with meals and daily activities Spending time socialising or enjoying hobbies Supporting evening routines and settling for the night Completing clear handovers with the team This is a role where you can see the difference you make every day . We’re looking for a Female Live-in Care Assistant to support a customer S in Penzance , living alongside him and helping him continue to live a full, active and meaningful life. It’s important that the person joining us feels comfortable supporting his lifestyle and interests. What the role involves As a Live-in Care Assistant, you’ll be part of our team of Care Experts , providing consistent, one-to-one support while living in the customer’s home. Your role will include: Personal care, delivered with dignity and respect Moving and positioning support Supporting daily routines while encouraging independence Providing companionship and practical support Supporting an active lifestyle, including social outings and events This role follows a rolling 2 weeks on / 1 week off rota , giving you clear structure and regular time to rest and recharge. About the customer This role is dedicated to supporting one individual S , so it’s important that the person applying feels comfortable with his lifestyle and interests. You’ll be supporting a customer who has quadriplegic cerebral palsy and uses a powerchair full time . He leads a full and active life and values his independence. He enjoys: Watching cricket and football Listening to music Spending time with family and friends Getting out and about, including evenings out and social events Driving is an essential part of this role, as he has a Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle (WAV) and enjoys maintaining an active social life.
