We’re looking for a Female Live-in Care Assistant to support a customer S in Penzance , living alongside him and helping him continue to live a full, active and meaningful life. It’s important that the person joining us feels comfortable supporting his lifestyle and interests. What the role involves As a Live-in Care Assistant, you’ll be part of our team of Care Experts , providing consistent, one-to-one support while living in the customer’s home. Your role will include: Personal care, delivered with dignity and respect Moving and positioning support Supporting daily routines while encouraging independence Providing companionship and practical support Supporting an active lifestyle, including social outings and events This role follows a rolling 2 weeks on / 1 week off rota , giving you clear structure and regular time to rest and recharge. About the customer This role is dedicated to supporting one individual S , so it’s important that the person applying feels comfortable with his lifestyle and interests. You’ll be supporting a customer who has quadriplegic cerebral palsy and uses a powerchair full time . He leads a full and active life and values his independence. He enjoys: Watching cricket and football Listening to music Spending time with family and friends Getting out and about, including evenings out and social events Driving is an essential part of this role, as he has a Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle (WAV) and enjoys maintaining an active social life. This placement would suit someone who: Enjoys being out and about rather than staying at home Is confident supporting social plans and changes to routine Values companionship as much as practical support Is calm, patient and respectful, while encouraging independence Pay, rota and progression £125 per day Rolling 2 weeks on / 1 week off rota Clearly defined working time, downtime and regular breaks Ongoing training and support, with opportunities to develop your care career What we offer you We know live-in care is a commitment, so we focus on making sure our Care Assistants feel supported, comfortable and valued. You do need kindness, reliability and the confidence to provide reassurance through the night. What the role involves As a Waking Nights Care Assistant, you’ll be part of our team of Care Experts , supporting one customer overnight in her own home so she feels safe, settled and supported. Your role will include: Personal care, delivered sensitively and with dignity Supporting overnight routines, comfort and positioning Medication support and monitoring, in line with care plans Repositioning and pressure area care Gentle reassurance and companionship during the night Remaining awake and alert throughout the shift This is a one-to-one role , allowing you to build consistency, trust and understanding with the same customer.
