This is a varied full-time role, primarily based from our office, with time spent out in the community supporting our care teams and customers with complex care needs in their own homes. You will play a key role in ensuring safe, high-quality, person-centred care is delivered across Mid & West Cornwall, while supporting and developing our Care Experts. About the role As Clinical Nurse Lead, you will combine your nursing experience with leadership, coaching and quality assurance. You will provide clinical oversight, support staff development, review care delivery and work closely with customers, families, care teams and senior managers. This role would suit a Registered Nurse who enjoys building relationships, leading others and making a meaningful difference in community-based care. Key responsibilities Your role will include: Providing clinical oversight for customers with complex care needs Supporting customers in their own homes through assessments, reviews and clinical guidance Developing, reviewing and monitoring care plans and risk assessments Supporting, coaching and developing care teams Completing competency checks, observations and supervisions Supporting staff training and confidence in complex care Working closely with customers, families, professionals and internal teams Ensuring care is safe, responsive, person-centred and compliant Supporting recruitment, onboarding and induction of new team members Assisting with rota planning and service coordination Participating in the shared out-of-hours on-call rota, approximately 1 in 10 weeks Managing customer and staff concerns professionally and compassionately About you We are looking for a Registered Nurse who is clinically confident, organised and passionate about high-quality care. You may have experience in a hospital, community, care home, complex care, children’s services, mental health or learning disability setting. What matters most is your ability to lead, support others and make sound clinical decisions. This is a rewarding live-in care role where you’ll help him live life his way. He is sociable, enjoys getting out and about, watching cricket and spending time with friends. You’ll provide one-to-one support with daily routines, personal care, moving and positioning, companionship and practical help around the home. You’ll also drive the customer’s adapted van so he can attend appointments, social activities and days out. There may be some unsocial hours , particularly when supporting him to go out with friends or transporting him to and from social activities.
