Meet our team of care professionals

Alan Head
Carer Mentor

I started my career in care in 1992, working in various roles from Domiciliary, nursing home, hospital, and the Ambulance team, which provided me with the knowledge and experience to flourish within the care sector.

During my time working in care, I have been able to develop my skills further and obtain qualifications along the way including my NVQ 3, this has assisted me with my progression. I initially joined Bluebird as a Carer, and since I have been promoted to Care Supervisor. I take great pride in being able to watch our team of carers build their knowledge and confidence, which then enables them to provide the outstanding care that we offer, and I always think about the importance of providing care that I would be happy with my loved ones receiving.

Sharlotte Hawkins
Recruitment Coordinator

I started working in the care sector a few years ago and I knew instantly that I'd found where I wanted to be. After a few years of being a Care Worker, I decided that I wanted to progress in the sector and accepted the job at Bluebird Care as Recruitment Coordinator.

I love the prospect of helping others find their love for 'care' which I did when I first started. The Bluebird team have been fantastic and have made me feel really welcome. Now I get to bring others into 'Care' with a company that really cares!

After competing my studies in media and technology at college I have since spent time providing online coaching and support.

Although I am new to working in the care industry myself, I feel I have a strong insight into the sector due to my mother’s role.  Seeing my Mum progress through so many positions within the industry over her career has given me a sound knowledge of what good care is, and how it should be delivered.

Although not actively involved in the provision of care, I have had the privilege of seeing care being provided first-hand and I strongly believe that we should be providing care that we would want our loved ones to be receiving, and we shouldn’t strive to accept anything less.

Tim Rowland-Jones
Franchise Owner

Tim Rowland Jones studied Business Management at University before going to work in the family business. Experience in staff management and customer service has helped Tim develop the Bluebird Care office. Tim Rowland Jones has always lived in Bath and as such understands the local community and knows the area very well.

Like many other people, his first real experience of the care industry came at a time when his own grandfather who suffered from dementia was admitted to a residential home. The care he went on to receive was of a particularly high standard, and this served as an inspiration and as the driving force behind his involvement with Bluebird Care.

Tim is now particularly passionate about caring for people living with dementia and dedicates much of his spare time volunteering at local day centres and the Royal United Hospital in Bath, spending time and ‘befriending’ people with dementia.

Claire Nolan
Area Care Manager

After first entering the care industry by working in a residential home at the age of 18 I immediately felt I had found my niche and had a real passion and drive for providing high levels of care and support to vulnerable adults.

After a career break to raise my family I returned to the domiciliary sector in 2010.  I have worked as  care worker, senior, trainer and manager and could not imagine working in any other industry. 

I am a driven and motivated in providing a dedicated and professional high standard of person centred care to our customers and am thrilled to be a part of such a passionate and dedicated team.

Lottie Treby
Assistant Manager

I have been working in the domiciliary industry since leaving sixth form at the age of 17.  I began my career as an administrator and then progressed into the role as lead care coordinator and completed my NVQ 5. I now assist with a variety of the business operations.

I cannot imagine working in any other industry as I am passionate about continually striving to provide a first class service. I believe person centred professional care should be given to all those that need it.
