Bluebird Care Leeds North recently hosted a stall at the Leeds Job Fair on 11th November, at the Marriott Hotel in Leeds City Centre. Oona-Mai Sharp (Customer Relations Officer) and Aoife Hawkesworth (Care Recruiter) had a fabulous and energetic day filled with many chats with people from all walks of life and from various employment backgrounds about what a career in care can offer.
Many people were interested to learn that care experience is not necessary to join Bluebird Care as full practical and theoretical training is provided, with fully funded accredited qualifications e.g. The Care Certificate, Diploma in Health and Social Care and full access to a fully funded career development pathway. The Bluebird Care recruitment process is based on the values and personality of applicants. Kindness, compassion, patience and reliability are the key personality traits we are looking for.
Aoife, Care Recruiter made lots of new contacts and arranged several interviews over the following few days. Angela Tallant, met Aoife and Oona at the event and was successful in being offered a role as a Care Assistant with the Bluebird Care Leeds North team. Each person who left their contact details with a view to setting up an interview was entered into a prize draw to win a luxurious chocolate and champagne Marks and Spencer Hamper. Angela had a double win by winning the hamper and also being offered the opportunity to start a fulfilled career with Bluebird Care.
