At Bluebird Care Wakefield and Kirklees, we consider ourselves one big team! This team consists of our office staff, our Care Experts, and our customers.

 When you work with us, no two days are the same; every customer is unique and so are their care packages. We always say that working in care is more than just a careerFor us, it's a way of life.

What would my hours be like?

We have opportunities to suit everyone, including:

  • 16-40+ hours a week
  • Shift patterns of 7:00am - 2:00pm, or 2:00pm - 10:00pm
  • Live-in Care (living inside a customers home)
  • Bank hours (opportunities to pick up hours when we have them to spare)

What training is available?

At Bluebird Care, we provide training to all new starters - regardless of previous experience. You'll be asked to join us for three days of face-to-face training in the first instance; this is a great opportunity to not only learn the tricks of the trade, but also to meet with your new team and get a feel for our ethos.

In-line with Bluebird Care policies and best practices, you'll also be asked to:

  • Complete E-Learning modules (and stay up-to-date with them)
  • Shadow a trusted member of staff before lone working
  • Attend annual refresher training

What's our recruitment process?

Here's a brief break-down of how we'll assess your suitability to work for Bluebird Care:

  1. We'll review your CV/ application form and invite you to interview for your specified role if we think you could be a good fit.
  2. Once we have offered you the position, you'll be scheduled to attend our next training session.
  3. We'll run our background checks.
  4. On completion of all mandatory training and the return of all background checks, you'll shadow an experienced member of our team out in the field.
  5. We'll check in every week throughout your 3-month probationary period. After this, you'll attend a monthly supervision with your line manager and an annual appraisal.
