Care Administrator – Assessment Support

Job Title: Care Administrator (Assessment Support) £13 per hour
Reports to: Care Manager
Location: Wiltshire North 
Hours: Full time, Monday to Friday - 830am-1700

Role Summary

The Care Administrator (Assessment Support) provides essential administrative support to the care team, with a focus on assisting the assessment process, maintaining accurate documentation, and ensuring smooth coordination of customer information and care plans. This role helps keep the service organised, compliant, and responsive to customer needs.

Key Responsibilities

Assessment & Care Plan Administration

  • Support the completion of new customer assessments by preparing documentation and gathering required information.
  • Maintain and update assessment forms, risk assessments, and care plans.
  • Record all assessment details accurately in the care management system.
  • Assist with organising annual reviews and updates when customer needs change.

General Administrative Support

  • Maintain accurate electronic and paper records in line with GDPR.
  • Update customer and staff information in the care management system.
  • Assist with coordinating care-related information for the team.
  • Support with incident reporting, complaints logging, and follow‑up paperwork.
  • Prepare documents for audits, inspections, and internal quality checks.

Communication & Coordination

  • Act as a point of contact for customers, families, and care staff regarding routine queries.
  • Communicate assessment updates and care plan changes to the relevant team members.
  • Liaise with healthcare professionals and external agencies to gather or share information.

Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience in care administration, coordination, or a similar role desirable but not essential
  • Strong organisational and IT skills.
  • Clear communication skills and a professional, supportive approach.

  • Detail‑focused and highly organised.
  • Able to work calmly and prioritise tasks.
  • Compassionate, approachable, and confident communicating with people on all levels.
