Finance Manager (Member of Senior Leadership Team)

FINANCE MANAGER
About the Role
We are looking for a hands-on Finance Manager to join our Senior Leadership Team and play a key role in strengthening how the business operates.
This is not a traditional finance role. We are looking for someone who can bring clarity from data, build effective processes, and connect finance to day-to-day operations to support a growing, multi-site business.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Owning weekly cash visibility (what’s coming in, going out, and any risks)
- Overseeing and improving the invoicing process (PASS → Xero)
- Ensuring revenue is captured accurately across multiple offices
- Supporting and driving credit control and cash collection
- Working with operational teams to improve performance and margin awareness
- Identifying and fixing process gaps quickly and practically
- Coordinating finance activities including payroll inputs and supplier payments
- Managing relationships with external accountants and payroll providers
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in a private / SME / family-run business
- Comfortable working in a growing, fast-paced environment
- Hands-on background across finance with strong operational awareness
- A problem-solver who brings solutions, not just reports
- Able to build relationships and influence non-finance teams
- Someone who brings clarity, structure, and accountability

- A corporate, reporting-heavy finance profile
- Someone focused purely on management accounts or technical accounting
- Individuals who rely on perfect systems before taking action

Additional Information
- Based in Basildon, full-time hours with option of working from home one day per week.
- Salary from £40,000, depending on experience
