Responsibilities
As a Field Care Supervisor your key responsibilities will include:
- Carry out assessments with customers (and/or their chosen representatives) an assessment of what the customer needs and what they would like to achieve from their care and support, together with a risk assessment.
- Carry out quality reviews at the customers home and work effectively with customers, their families and representatives, other social and health professionals.
- Give Care Assistants guidance to effectively and safely provide care and support as agreed in the care and support plans.
- Work closely with our coordinator to appropriately match Care Assistants to customers and attend the customers first call to introduce Care Assistant.
- Audit medication and customer care notes to continually remain compliant.
- Take part in the out of hours emergency on call rota. Effectively deal with emergency on call issues. e.g. covering calls when Care Assistants are absent.
- Arrange and manage staff changeovers and briefings for Live in Care assignments.
- Investigate matters relating to the quality of the service and implement improvements.
- Apply Bluebird Care policies and procedures. Make sure care and support is provided in line with regulation.

Requirements
- A warm and friendly personality
- Previous experience in social care with a minimum NVQ level 2.
- Full valid driving licence and access to a vehicle
- Excellent communication skills
- Reliable and conscientious
