Responsibilities

As a Care Assistant/Befriender, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Provide companionship through regular visits or calls
  • Engage in friendly, non-judgmental conversation.
  • Actively listen to the individual's concerns and stories.
  • Help the individual engage in activities like hobbies or games.
  • Work to an agreed-upon timetable and be punctual.

Requirements

  • *A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle*
  • Weekend working could be required
  • A kind, compassionate attitude and a calm approach to care
  • Great communication skills and the ability to build positive, trusting relationships
  • A good listener who is non judgmental
  • Ability to follow care plans 
  • Patient and sensitive
