Care Assistant - Southend and surrounding areas
£15.50 - £19.75 per hour
Care Assistant Location: Southend, Rochford, Rayleigh, Leigh, Hockley, Shoebury and Westcliff. £15.50 per hour weekday / £16.50 per hour weekends / £19.75 per hour bank holidays Please note - we are NOT currently offering any sp0ns0rship. You must own your own car and have a full driving licence to apply for this role. What we’re looking for: - As a Carer, your key responsibilities will include: Provide high-quality care tailored to each person’s individual needs Assist with personal care (e.g. bathing and dressing) Supporting with hydration and nutrition Safely supporting with medication, including prompting and administering Carry out light housework such as tidying, laundry and general cleaning Be a dependable friendly, familiar face for all the customers you care for Essential requirements from you: - A full UK driving licence and access to a reliable vehicle The right to work in the UK A kind, compassionate attitude and a calm approach to care Great communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships Ability to follow care plans Previous care experience is beneficial whether professionally or personally, but not a necessity as full training will be provided If you care deeply, Bluebird Care makes sure you have the time you need to do what you do best, the training so you can keep doing it better and the rewards that delivering such high-quality care deserves. The Role As an experienced Care Supervisor, you'll play a key role in maintaining the high standards our customers expect. You'll work closely with our care teams, customers and office staff to ensure care is delivered safely, compassionately and in line with regulatory requirements. This is a varied role that combines leadership, quality assurance, customer support and compliance. Key Responsibilities Supervise, mentor and support our Care Assistants to deliver outstanding person-centred care. Carry out care assessments, customer reviews and spot checks. Monitor and maintain high standards of care quality and compliance. Support with the induction, training and ongoing development of care staff. Assist with care planning and risk assessments. Respond professionally to customer queries and concerns. Maintain accurate electronic care records using our care management systems. Work collaboratively with the Registered Manager and wider office team to ensure smooth day-to-day operations. Promote our values and maintain compliance with CQC standards and company policies. About You We're looking for someone who already has supervisory experience within the care sector and is ready to make a positive impact. You'll have: A minimum of 3 years' experience working in health and social care. Previous experience as a Care Supervisor, Field Care Supervisor, Senior Care Assistant or similar leadership role. A strong understanding of CQC regulations and person-centred care. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Strong organisational and IT skills. The confidence to lead, motivate and support a team. The ability to work independently and prioritise a busy workload. A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
