Thank a Trainer Day at Bluebird Care
Celebrating the People Who Shape the Future of Care
At Bluebird Care, we know that great care starts with great training.
Today, on Thank a Trainer Day, we’re celebrating the incredible individuals who dedicate their time, knowledge, and passion to ensuring our carers are confident, capable, and ready to make a difference in the lives of others.
Teaching isn’t just about standing in front of a classroom. It’s about lighting sparks of understanding, building confidence, and shaping futures—including the future of care itself. Our trainers don't just pass on knowledge; they empower, inspire, and uplift.

Spotlight on Abbey Ford – Clinical Nurse Lead
Behind every complex care package at Bluebird Care is Abbey Ford, our Clinical Nurse Lead. Abbey is not only a highly skilled clinician but a committed educator who plays a critical role in training carers in complex clinical tasks. Whether it’s tracheostomy care, ventilation, PEG feeding, or other specialist procedures, Abbey ensures our carers are thoroughly trained and confident before stepping into the field. Her leadership in managing complex packages is second to none, and she always goes the extra mile to provide hands-on guidance, support, and ongoing coaching to her team. Abbey’s work is life-changing—for both customers and staff. She brings clinical excellence and heart to everything she does, and her training is a big reason why families can trust Bluebird Care with their loved ones’ most intricate needs.

Spotlight on Victoria Gardner – Health and Social Care Trainer
The journey for every new team member at Bluebird Care begins with Victoria Gardner. As our Health and Social Care Trainer, Victoria delivers induction training to all new starters, helping them feel prepared and excited about their new roles. She also leads mandatory training updates, keeping our staff up-to-date, safe, and confident. From moving and handling to medication, safeguarding, and infection control, Victoria ensures our carers are always equipped with the latest knowledge and best practices. Her enthusiasm is contagious, and her passion for care shines through in every session she delivers. Many of our carers still talk about how her guidance shaped their careers long after their induction week ends.
The Unsung Heroes
Both Abbey and Victoria—and trainers like them across the Bluebird Care family—rarely shout about the impact they make. But we see it every day in the quality of care we deliver, in the confidence of our carers, and in the trust our customers place in us.
So today, we say a heartfelt thank you to Abbey, Victoria, and all our incredible trainers. Your work doesn’t just train carers—it transforms futures.
