Peter Slough, Managing Director

Peter Slough - Managing Director / Owner

Peter’s first experience arranging care was filled with frustration and anxiety due to poor customer service and a lack of support. This inspired him to create a better way. Now, with over a decade of industry experience, he owns and manages three London-based Bluebird Care offices. Prior to embarking on his journey in care, Peter earned a law degree and worked for an NGO in New Delhi, advocating for policy changes to improve lives. This passion for transformative change is reflected in his leadership of Bluebird Care Richmond & Twickenham which is rated as a ‘Good’ service by the CQC. Peter’s mission is to empower clients to live well in the comfort of their home by creating the best in-home care and support. He prioritises delivering compassionate, professional care that he would trust for his own family, which is reflective in building his business largely through referrals and recommendations. With Bluebird franchise partner, Tim Rowland-Jones they now operate the largest multi branch franchise business within the Bluebird Care network, providing home care services across Southwest England, Oxfordshire and London.

Tim Rowland-Jones - Managing Director / Owner

Tim brings extensive business management experience to his role overseeing Bluebird Care Richmond & Twickenham. Before venturing into home care, he led a successful multi-channel retail business. However, his perspective changed when his grandfather’s dementia highlighted the urgent need for high-quality, compassionate care. This personal experience inspired him to open his first Bluebird Care office in Bath where they have provided a high-quality service for over a decade, achieving an ‘Outstanding’ CQC rating for the branch. Tim is dedicated to making a difference and ensures all carers receive advanced training, allowing them to specialise in areas such as dementia, post-op rehabilitation, Parkinson’s, and complex care. He is focused on matching clients with the right carers based on personality and expertise, ensuring a truly personalised service. His own father now benefits from live-in care, fuelling his on-going commitment to provide exceptional services to his local communities. With Bluebird franchise partner, Peter Slough they now operate the largest multi branch franchise business within the Bluebird Care network, providing home care services across Southwest England, Oxfordshire and London.

Melony Fairchild - Operations Director

As Operations Director, Melony plays a vital role in leading and shaping the operations of five Bluebird Care territories, including Bristol, Bath and North East Somerset, Kensington & Chelsea, Oxford, Richmond and Twickenham and Westminster and City of London. She is responsible for overseeing all operational functions across the multi franchise network, ensuring the smooth delivery of high-quality care services. With direct oversight of all Registered Managers (RMs), Melony ensures that every branch operates efficiently, consistently meeting both internal benchmarks and regulatory standards. In her capacity as the Nominated Individual for the Care Quality Commission (CQC), Melony is instrumental in upholding the highest standards of care and compliance. She works diligently to ensure that the organisation not only meets but exceeds the stringent requirements set by the CQC, safeguarding the well-being of customers and maintaining trust with families. Melony’s journey into the care sector began in 2004 after an accomplished career in the pharmaceutical industry. Prior to this she completed vital work for the Cardiff Drugs and Alcohol Unit. Her transition into care was a natural progression, fuelled by a passion for helping others.

Justyna Zak, Registered Manager

Justyna Zak - Registered Manager

Justyna joined Bluebird Care in August 2024. A qualified midwife, Justyna has over seven years’ experience in health and social care having worked in both nursing homes and home care services. With a passion to provide compassionate, high-quality care, Justyna focuses on ensuring both her customers and care teams receive unrivalled levels of support. She is dedicated to ensuring her customers thrive through receiving highly personalised care that delivers positive outcomes, and her team are empowered and recognised for their contribution. As the Registered Manager of Bluebird Care in Richmond and Twickenham, Justyna is responsible for managing, developing and supporting the branches exceptional care team, whilst ensuring high standards of service, quality and compliance. Justyna had previously worked in residential care but wanted to enable people to be supported in their home environment in their community. She is very passionate about contributing to her local community, and the changes that she can make to enable her customers to have improved quality of life and well-being.

Wednesday Watson - Recruitment Manager

Wednesday Watson - Recruitment Manager

Wednesday is responsible for creating and delivering the recruitment strategy at Bluebird Care’s multi -franchise business, covering branches in the Southwest, Oxford, Surrey and London. With a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management and a Masters in HR Management, Wednesday has worked in healthcare recruitment since leaving university, having been inspired to join the care sector through a passion for helping others and giving something back to society. Wednesday joined Bluebird Care in 2020 as HR and Recruitment Officer, working her way up to secure the Group role in 2024. The focus of the Group’s recruitment strategy is to hire not just for experience, but to ensure all new team members are aligned to its core values. She is passionate about creating a friendly and welcoming experience for all those who join the company and supporting them through training and the initial weeks in their role.

Vandana Singh, Lead Care Co-Ordinator

Vandana Singh - Lead Care Co-Ordinator

Having come to the UK with a medical background as a Junior Doctor specialising in Indian medicine, Vandana graduated from Wolverhampton University with a BSc Hons in Health Studies. She then decided she wanted to pursue a career in supporting older people, and completed an HND in Health and Social Care, whilst joining the care sector in 2007. Having worked for other care providers, Vandana joined Bluebird Care in 2022 after having her children as a Care Co-ordinator. Priding herself on building strong relationships with both customers and carers, Vandana is responsible is responsible for leading and managing the team of Care Co-ordinators responsible for ensuring all packages of care are effectively set up by matching the best carers to our customers’ unique needs. Her team then ensure that everything runs smoothly from managing rotas to ensuring customers, their families and our care teams are well-supported.

Johanna Attack, Probationary Care Supervisor

Joanna Attack - Probationary Care Supervisor

As Probationary Care Supervisor, Joanna is responsible for effectively guiding new carers joining Bluebird Care through their on-boarding process. She is focused on fostering confidence and competence in new joiners, to ensure they reflect our high standards of care. Throughout the on-boarding process, Joanna provides continuous support and constructive feedback, addressing any challenges they face and celebrating their successes. Her goal is to ensure that each carer delivers exceptional service to our customers, helping them to excel in their roles and contribute positively to our team’s overall success. Joanna decided to embark on a career in care 12 years ago when she was working in Polish social club, where many of the customers were Polish war veterans. She met a lady at the club who she then started caring for, which inspired her into home care. Joanna joined Bluebird Care in 2013 as a Care Assistant, becoming Care Mentor, then Senior Carer and a Supervisor before taking on the role of Probationary Team Lead. With an NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care, Joanna is working towards the Level 4 diploma.
