My parents started Bluebird Care over 17 years ago because they wanted to bring excellent care to our local communities. I joined straight from school and worked in every role in the business before taking it on with my dad, Kevin. We chose to keep it in the family because we're passionate about care that's rooted in the place we live. If you're looking for care for yourself or someone you love, I want you to know that excellent care is out there, and so are people who truly care. This chapter doesn't have to be scary. Clem Towlson, Head of Care Quality

With us for more than 15 years, Clem has gone from Care Expert to Supervisor to Registered Manager, and now leads care quality across the group. She lives and breathes our values and won't settle for anything less than the very best care for our customers.

Faye Longmuir, Head of Group Development

Faye joined us as an Admin Assistant, bringing a background in care that included night support for children with complex needs. She has grown enormously with us and now leads our marketing, development and systems, making sure everyone who joins has the right access from day one. As part of our senior leadership team, she looks after our office teams and makes sure they feel supported. Approachable and dependable, she's also the one to find for five minutes and a good laugh.

Julia Mills, Recruitment Lead

With us since 2019 and a former Registered Manager, Julia knows exactly what great care looks like. She meets, interviews and welcomes every Care Expert who joins us, and holds the bar high, because great care starts with great people.

Ben Gardiner, General Manager

Ben joined Bluebird Care in 2026 as our General Manager. He oversees the day-to-day running of all our offices, from Redbridge to Southend, as well as our Live-In service. Ben works hand in hand with our Registered Managers and office teams, so every customer receives care that is reliable, consistent and personal, and every Care Expert feels valued and supported. He brings a wealth of experience from the health and social care sector, where he worked with like-minded premium providers. For Ben, it's the small things that matter most: arriving when we say we will, taking time to listen, and always asking "is there anything else?"

Louise Baxter, HR and People Development Manager

Louise joined us in early 2026, bringing years of experience as a former General Manager. She's CIPD qualified and leads HR, training and learning and development across the group, making sure every Care Expert and office team member feels supported and has room to grow. Away from work she loves team sports and run clubs, and she's climbed to Everest base camp, so she knows a thing or two about going the distance.

Maryann Cleaver, Community Engagement Officer

Maryann led our 24-hour live-in care service from 2020, looking after customers and Care Experts alike. With a Montessori background, she now leads our Montessori dementia training and keeps us rooted in the community, working with GPs, social workers and local groups.

Kaz Lawrence, Care Supervisor

Kaz grew with us as a Care Expert before stepping up to Care Supervisor. Today she supports our customers throughout their care journey, making sure they feel looked after at every step. Kaz has a deep passion for care, and it shows in everything she does. She's always cheery and brings a positive attitude wherever she goes. If you need uplifting, go and find Kaz.
