William Flint
Franchise Owner
William is a former NHS and Social Care Manager. He has extensive experience of managing and delivering high quality health services to the public. William spent his early years on a Dairy farm just 2 miles from Tavistock and is passionate about the local area.

He was responsible for the joint delivery of Health and Social Care services for Adults in Exeter, Sidmouth, Seaton and Axminster. William has achieved a Masters Degree in Health Care Management (University of Birmingham) gained whilst on the highly competitive NHS Graduate Management Training Scheme.

William is driven by a desire to provide responsive high-quality care services, he is particularly keen to provide individualised services that enrich the lives of those receiving them. When not working William can be found surfing his "Mini Mal", at the gym or walking the Moors with his wife Sara.
Sara Flint
Franchise Owner

Sara is a Business graduate (Loughborough).  Her working career started in Business Management for British Airways (she was fortunate enough to fly Concorde to New York!!). Locally Sara has worked for NHS Devon and the local Stroke Network, based at the Royal Devon and Exeter NHS Foundation Trust. She also managed the South West NHS Neonatal Networks which covered the Neonatal units from Gloucester to Lands End. Sara has always had a passion for the standards of care delivered to older people. For a number of her adult years Sara was a care worker supporting older people and so has "hands on" experience of care. Given her experience as a care worker she has uncompromising standards in the area of customer care. Sara is an avid reader and loves walking, particularly on the "High Moors" with William and their dogs 'Poppy' and 'Ruby'.

Jacqueline Fyall
Head of Business Development

Jackie is an experienced Manager joining us after 12 years with the NHS.  She is responsible for the legal and ethical running of the business ensuring that both our staff and customers alike are happy and having their needs met.

Sharon Wilkinson
Head of Care and Quality / Registered Manager

Sharon is our Head of Operations Care and Registered Manager for Exeter. Sharon is an experienced Manager with over 22 years experience working in the Health Care Sector. Sharon is responsible for quality and care is group lead for training and recruitment teams. Sharon also manages the Exeter Domiciliary Team and service.

Jacob Russell
Live-in Service Manager

Jacob is our Live-in Service Manager for Exeter, Exmouth, East and West Devon: working closely alongside our team of Bluebird Carer in the delivery of 24 hour services to our Customers across all areas. 

Jacob has been working in the homecare sector for over 7 years, initially managing residential services and then moving onto leading teams in the homecare sector. Jacob has achieved his Level 5 Diploma in Leadership in Health and Social Care, amongst other qualifications including 'train the trainer' in Safeguarding, Medication and Parkinson's Disease.

In his spare time, Jacob is currently studying for his degree in Business Management & Chartered Management Institute.  

Megan Chilton
Training Support Supervisor

Megan graduated from the University of Exeter with a BSc in Psychology in 2018. She joined Bluebird Care as a Care Assistant straight from University and progressed to being a senior by Christmas 2018.

In May 2019 she took on the role of Training Support Supervisor, assisting with the delivery of induction and refreshers. She also supports new Care Assistants for the first three months of their employment, providing the necessary training.

Megan is also accredited to train in mental health, dementia and end of life care.

Ray Spurr
Head of Finance

Ray is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants. During his career he has held a number of senior accounting appointments within Industry and the Ministry of Defence.

Ray joined Bluebird care in 2018 as Head of Finance. He is trustee for the Spirit of Normandy Trust a charity looking after the Welfare of Normandy veterans all of whom are now well into their nineties.

Sheila Soloman
Accounts Administrator and Payroll

Sheila joined Bluebird Care in April 2013 after moving down from Northampton and brought with her over 30 years’ experience.

She is responsible for organising and preparing accurate accounting records and producing financial information.

Stephanie Darkes
Marketing and Communications Manager

Stephanie has been working for Bluebird since June 2019. She manages all of the marketing online and off plus internal and external communications for our four hubs, Exeter, Exmouth, East and West Devon. 

Kirsty Searle
Recruitment Assistant

Kirsty has come from a management background after working for TUI for the past 8 years. She loves engaging with people and has a passion for people development, which is why she has joined as our Recruitment Assistant.

Debbie Marshall
Quality and Training Manager

Debbie has been working with Bluebird Care since April 2016, after working within the healthcare sector for over 9 years.  As Training Manager, Debbie works together with all three Care Hubs in Exeter, Exmouth & East Devon to raise the training at Bluebird Care to the next level. 

She was recently promoted to Quality and Training Manager.
