We have great career opportunities for both full-time and part-time Care Assistants to join our friendly, caring and growing team!

Rates of pay from £11.00-£20.00 per hour plus 35p per mile mileage allowance for Domiciliary Care Assistants, and between £720-£820 per working week plus £30 per week food allowance for Live-in Care Assistants.

We deliver care in the privacy and comfort of our customers' homes as an alternative to residential care. We have opportunities across the Vale of Glamorgan including Penarth, Barry, Dinas Powys, Wenvoe, Cowbridge, Llantwit Major, Rhoose and surrounding areas. 

No experience necessary as full training is provided.

We provide care between the hours of 7 am and 10 pm, 7 days a week with various shift patterns within these hours including mornings, evenings & weekends.

 

YOU MUST HAVE A DRIVING LICENCE, YOUR OWN VEHICLE FOR WORK PURPOSES, HAVE THE RIGHT TO WORK WITHIN THE UK AND BE CURRENTLY LIVING WITHIN THE UK TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS ROLE.

Meet our team of care professionals

Lynne Churchill
Director

Lynne Churchill became the new Franchise Director for Bluebird Care Cardiff South and The Vale. Lynne’s background is in Sales and Marketing and Employee benefits working in the corporate world alongside partner blue chip companies throughout the UK. Implementing marketing strategies to deliver the best brand for those companies.  Over the last 27 years Lynne has gained a wealth of experience in this area working in Healthcare, Advertising and Recruitment. Lynne will harness her experience to move the business forward to the next level. In her spare time Lynne enjoys cycling, walking and reading.

Sharon Lloyd
Care Coordinator

Sharon has worked for Bluebird Care as the Care Coordinator for the Vale since November 2018. Sharon’s main roles are rostering and liaising with Social Workers to ensure our customers receive quality Care on time when they need it. Sharon has worked in the Care Industry for over 20 years in various roles, previously as a registered manager and planning officer. Sharon enjoys working in Care and couldn’t think of a more rewarding Career.

Joanne Couch
Care Supervisor

Joanne worked in Care for 4 years prior to joining Bluebird Care, mainly with Dementia and Alzheimer’s. Joanne started with Bluebird Care in April 2019 as a Care Supervisor for the Vale of Glamorgan. Jo is responsible for supporting Customers and Care Assistants in the Vale by carrying out regular supervisions, spot checks, quality reviews and ensuring that our quality is always a priority. 

Emma Avis
Care Supervisor

Emma joined Bluebird Care in February 2015 having previously worked in supported living for people with Learning Disabilities. Emma initially started with us as a care worker and within six months was promoted to Care Supervisor. Emma is always on hand to provide advice and support to the supervisors in both Cardiff and The Vale of Glamorgan. Emma manages her own team of care workers to ensure that we continue to provide a quality service. Emma is the first point of contact with both new and existing customers in the Vale of Glamorgan.

In her spare time Emma enjoys cooking and spending time with her family.

Cerys Morgan
Care Manager

Cerys has worked in Care for 10 years, starting off as a Care Assistant and working her way up to Care Coordinator and then Care Manager. Cerys has managed multiple Bluebird Care Franchise’s since January 2022.
Prior to this Cerys qualified as a hair stylist although she always knew that her passion was caring for others.


In her spare time, Cerys enjoys going on lots of walks, visiting new places and spending time with her niece and nephews.

Hannah Evans
Recruitment Officer

Hannah has been with Bluebird Care as a Care Worker for 3 years. She recently joined the office team to become Staff Retention Officer.
