We have great career opportunities for both full-time and part-time Care Assistants to join our friendly, caring and growing team. It is essential all applicants have a Full Driving Licence and their own reliable vehicle.

Please note our office is based in Cardiff CF5 and you will be expected to drive here for interview, training and meetings.

We deliver care in the privacy and comfort of our customers' homes as an alternative to residential care. We have opportunities across Cowbridge, Barry, Penarth, Dinas and surrounding areas. No experience necessary as full training is provided.

Earn £9.15ph Mon - Fri / £9.50ph Weekends / £14ph Bank Holidays

We provide care between the hours of 7 am and 10 pm, 7 days a week with various shift patterns within these hours including mornings, evenings & weekends.

Meet our team of care professionals

Lynne Churchill
Director

Lynne Churchill became the new Franchise Director for Bluebird Care Cardiff South and The Vale. Lynne’s background is in Sales and Marketing and Employee benefits working in the corporate world alongside partner blue chip companies throughout the UK. Implementing marketing strategies to deliver the best brand for those companies.  Over the last 27 years Lynne has gained a wealth of experience in this area working in Healthcare, Advertising and Recruitment. Lynne will harness her experience to move the business forward to the next level. In her spare time Lynne enjoys cycling, walking and reading.

Julie Pope
Registered Care Manager

Julie Pope has been with the company since its outset in 2009.  Julie is a highly experienced Registered Manager who holds an NVQ level 4 in Management along with a QCF level 5 in Health & Social Care. Julie has worked in the care sector for many years starting with the NHS before moving to a large charitable organisation and then into the private sector.
At Bluebird Care Julie is responsible for the day to day running of the agency along with recruitment and quality control. Julie has a passion for providing high quality care and meeting the needs of our customers.

Sharon Lloyd
Care Coordinator

Sharon has worked for Bluebird Care as the Care Coordinator for the Vale since November 2018. Sharon’s main roles are rostering and liaising with Social Workers to ensure our customers receive quality Care on time when they need it. Sharon has worked in the Care Industry for over 20 years in various roles, previously as a registered manager and planning officer. Sharon enjoys working in Care and couldn’t think of a more rewarding Career.

Emma Woodfin
Lead Care Supervisor

Emma joined Bluebird Care in February 2015 having previously managed a residential home for people with Learning Disabilities. Emma initially started with us as a care worker and within six months was promoted to Care Supervisor. In October 2016, Emma was successful in gaining the post of Lead Supervisor. Emma’s role is to lead and develop a team of supervisors and make sure work is allocated fairly. Emma is always on hand to provide advice and support to the supervisors in both Cardiff and The Vale of Glamorgan. Emma manages her own team of care workers to ensure that we continue to provide a quality service. Emma is the first point of contact with both new and existing customers in the Vale of Glamorgan.

In her spare time Emma enjoys cooking and spending time with her family.

Joanne Couch
Care Supervisor

Joanne worked in Care for 4 years prior to joining Bluebird Care, mainly with Dementia and Alzheimer’s. Joanne started with Bluebird Care in April 2019 as a Care Supervisor for the Vale of Glamorgan. Jo is responsible for supporting several Customers and Care Assistants by carrying out regular supervisions, spot checks, quality reviews etc.

Rosie McQuade
Office Admin

Rosie has worked for Bluebird Care for the last few years with our Cardiff South Care team. Rosie recently joined our admin team to support the office team with the day to day running of the office.
