Rick Parekh
Director

Bluebird Care is led by Rick Parekh. Rick joined the Bluebird Care team in January 2016 with a view to offer outstanding quality care to their customers.

Rick’s fundamental role is to ensure the continued development and growth of Bluebird Care whilst ensuring great customer satisfaction. His previous experiences include working at board level within in the food manufacturing industry where attention to detail is paramount.  He hopes the acquired skills and resources will lead to the goal of becoming the leading provider of domiciliary care in the Staffordshire area.

The care that we provide is not just our day job, but it is our passion! We are extremely proud of the outstanding standard of care we provide and our aim is to ensure that our customers always receive the quality service we would expect for our own family member. Myself and my team would be delighted to hear from anyone who is seeking homecare for themselves, for a loved one, or would simply like to talk to someone about the services we provide.

Victoria Jones
Registered Care Manager

Vicki began her career with the care sector in 2007 as a Domiciliary Care Worker.  During this time she has accomplished her NVQ Level 2 & Level 3 in Health & Social Care aswell as a Level 4 PTTLS qualification which has provided her with necessary teaching skills, allowing her to deliver a variety of training sessions.  In February 2012 Vicki accepted a Care Supervisors position with Bluebird Care and in May 2012 she underwent her fit persons interview with the Care Quality Commission and became the Registered Care Manager.

As Registered Care Manager I am responsible for ensuring we are compliant with all regulatory requirements. I have thoroughly enjoyed my time with Bluebird Care and over the years I have developed my skills and knowledge further by participating in training relevant to my role as well as continuing to deliver hands on care to customers in order to ensure my occupational competency is current. In 2016 I achieved my Level 5 Diploma. I absolutely pride myself on what we do at Bluebird Care. We have a fantastic team and are focused on delivering the best possible quality of care to our customers, and I feel privileged to be in a position to make that happen.

Louise Hawksworth
Care Coordinator

Louise has worked in the care sector since 2015 and has experience in both domiciliary and a residential care setting.  She joined Bluebird Care in 2018 as a care assistant and was quickly promoted to Field Care Supervisor.  Due to unforeseen circumstances Louise left Bluebird Care, however to our delight she returned to the role of Care Coordinator in January 2020 to pursue her passion in care.

Coming back to Bluebird Care is the best thing I ever did as I love being able to make a difference to peoples lives!  I’m enjoying the new challenge and putting my organisational skills to use. I look forward to helping the company grow and being part of the journey.

Kathryn Heath
Office Administrator

With no prior care experience, Kath joined Bluebird Care East Staffs and South Derbyshire in 2013 as an Office Administrator. Her role involves a multitude of activities ranging from supporting the team with quality compliance to recruitment. Due to her skill set Kath has become the go-to-person in our office.

Over the years with Bluebird Care I have developed a great passion and believe in providing the best care possible for our customers. I strive on delivering efficient administration and communications as well as offering a warm welcome to our new recruits.

Laura Daniels
Live-In Care Co-ordinator

Laura became part of our Bluebird Care Team in August 2022 and has over 15 years of experience working in health care.

Laura is a very positive, happy, smiley person, striving to make a difference and enjoys problem solving.  She has built a career within the care sector having previously worked as a Care Assistant, Senior Care Assistant, Care Coordinator, and Deputy Care Manager, and has now taken on the role of Live-in Care Coordinator with us. Laura has also completed her Level 2 and 3 in Health and Social Care and would now like to attain a Level 5 in order to further her knowledge and skills.

Caring for the elderly is my passion. Having cared for so many wonderful people over the years has been a privilege, and I am so very proud to be a carer at heart. I’m extremely grateful to be a part of the Bluebird Care family and for the opportunities, they have given me. I’m excited about the future, to build our Live-in Care services and to work closely with our customers and our care team. Being able to make a difference in our customers’ lives, working together to achieve positive outcomes, and turning their dreams of staying at home into a reality is more than just a job for me!

Evette Jones
Field Care Supervisor

Evette began her career as a Care Assistant with Bluebird Care in 2020.  This was her first job within the care sector, and she instantly loved it! In 2022, Evette’s efforts did not go unnoticed as her Manager nominated her for the Staffordshire Dignity in Care Awards.  Thrilled by this recognition, Evette was named a finalist and was highly commended for her exceptional service.

Over time, Evette has undertaken various training to develop her knowledge and skills, allowing her to progress to the role of Care Mentor, and in 2024 Evette was promoted to the role of Field Care Supervisor, which involves meeting new customers and completing their initial care assessments.

Seeing different people every day and making a positive difference to them gave me a real sense of achievement, as a Care Assistant. Working in the role of Field Care Supervisor now, I get to hear people’s life stories and what is important to them, which I am then able to include in their care and support plan to ensure they get a truly personalised service from our care team.

Rachel Banford
Field Care Supervisor

Rachel joined Bluebird Care in 2020 as a Care Assistant and progressed to become a Care Mentor in 2022. During her time at Bluebird Care, Rachel has completed her Level 2 Diploma in Health & Social Care and is currently working towards her Level 3 qualification.

In January 2024, Rachel was promoted to the role of Field Care Supervisor. Her main duties include supporting and mentoring both new and existing staff members. Rachel expanded her expertise by completing the Train the Trainer program, allowing her to provide training in Medication and Manual Handling as well as conducting competency assessments on staff in the field, to ensure customers receive consistently high standards of care.

Working in this busy office environment has certainly been an eye-opener, there is so much work that happens behind the scenes to ensure our customers and staff are well looked after, I feel privileged to be a part of the office team and I have already learnt so much.

Nicolle Taylor
Field Care Supervisor

Nicolle began working in care back in 2014 during that time she worked as a Care Assistant providing hands of care to individuals living within their own homes. Nicolle thoroughly enjoyed this role and says:

each day I would go home knowing I had done something rewarding and worthwhile.

Due to commitments at home Nicolle took a break from care and went into hospitality where she gained a number of transferable skills.

Nicolle says

Although I enjoyed, my time in hospitality my heart has always been with helping others. I joined Bluebird Care in March 2023 as a Field Care Supervisor. I am so grateful for the opportunity Bluebird Care has given me and I am so excited for the new challenges this role will bring. I have never been a part of a company that cares as much as Bluebird Care does, and I am so proud to be part of a team that puts its customers at the heart of everything they do. I have always loved caring for others, and I am looking forward to my future with Bluebird Care.
