Meet the team

Bluebird Care Swale is owned and managed by the Director Charmaine Grech. 

Ozgur graduated from Canterbury Christ Church University in 2012, having gained Bachelor of science degree and combined honour in Business Studies and Human Resources Management.

She joined Bluebird Care Medway in August 2014 after gaining experience in private property management with a finance company.

Ozgur quickly progressed within Bluebird Care and soon promoted to Financial Controller, she also gained the prestigious award of Employee of the year in 2015. Ozgur has recently advanced through progressively to the operations manager’s role within the company after many years of being in Finance. In her new role, she is responsible from managing employees’ performance by conducting quarterly meetings with the individuals, and to ensure compliancy of the business. She is very passionate about her role and having directed her own business previously she understands the complexities and problems involved. She prides herself in having the ability to perceive situations from both employees and employer’s perspective.

Prior to Bluebird Care, I was employed as a senior care worker in a large residential home for adults with Mental Health issues. I joined Bluebird Care Medway in January 2014 as a care assistant and went on become a care mentor and was awarded Spirit of Bluebird in March 2015.

 In January 2016, I moved over to the Bluebird Care Swale team as a care supervisor as I wanted to progress with my career in the Healthcare sector.

I love my job role. I like being able to provide our customers with the excellent care that I would wish for my own parents and relatives.

I have worked in the Care Sector for 32 years in numerous places such as care homes, hospitals, domicilary.  I felt I wanted a change of role but to remain in the care sector as this is what I enjoy doing and feel like I can make a difference every day 

I now work in the Bluebird Care Swale Office as a Care Supervisor where I can have a positive impact on people's lives and contribute to their care but from an office based role.  

I work in the Bluebird Care Office as the Office Administrator, prior to this I worked as a Care Assistant for Bluebird Care Swale. I opted for a complete career change to become a Care Assistant after nearly 10 years as an office Supervisor. I felt I wanted to give "something back" and a role in this sector gives me that opportunity, and it is so rewarding. 
Working in the office still allows me to support and contribute to the care of our Clients.

I have been a Care Assistant for just over a year.  I enjoy the role as Care Assistant as I am supporting and helping people stay in their own home.

I find the role rewarding and love to put a smile on people's faces, I love to make a difference

I  became an On Call Assistant where I support the On Call Manager on the out of hours service.

I now work in the Office three days a week as a support supervisor looking after the carers, support the on call manager rota.

Recently I have moved to the role of Care Co-ordinator.  This is a challenging and rewarding role

I’ve been a care worker with Bluebird for over 4 years, the job fell in my lap but feel that I have found my niche, I find the job thoroughly rewarding and look forward to seeing the people I care for. 

Recently I became an I Care Ambassador, where I attend meetings and events promoting my role as a Care Assistant

I joined Bluebird Care in the February of 2019 but was also working as a teaching assistant supporting special educational needs children and a short time later I became a mentor and an on-call assistant. I was a Deputy Nursery manager for a Sure start centre in Parkwood, Maidstone and I was the designated Safeguarding Lead, so my role would involve going to child protection meetings and working with all agencies.

During the Covid times, I joined the office on a temporary basis in July 2020 but by Oct 2020 I was offered a permanent position 3 days a week as the customer support supervisor. By January 2021, I was offered a full time position and I loved this part of my role.

I had the opportunity to work with the Swale office as a support of Deputy Head of Care until December 21. IN January 2022 I moved my position and become the financial assistant to the financial controller. In the past I used to do payroll and was a personal assistant. I have a gained a lot of knowledge in most roles now within the company and am still enjoying very much my job.

Outside of work, I love spending time with my family, particularly my Granddaughter, we go swimming and for days out,  I like walking, doing quizzes and like true life crimes and documentaries.

Amy joined Bluebird Care (Medway) in March 2015 as a Care Assistant.  Her constant good conduct, devotion to customers and committment in her caring role secured her promotion in February 2017 to Care Mentor and just recently, at the end of March 2018, Amy gained a further promotion to Support Supervisor and works in the office for three days per week.

​Amy was shortlisted for a Bluebird Care national award in 2017.  She even went through to the finals having won Carer of the Year for the South East region.  Well done Amy!

From November 2019, Amy's role as Support Supervisor changed to Training Supervisor with her having the sole responsibility for training of new Care Workers in both the Medway area and the Swale area.

I started as a care assistant for Bluebird care in September 2020 during the pandemic, although it was challenging, I really enjoyed my role. I became part of the on-call rota and then started as a support supervisor working in the office. Outside of work I spend my time travelling to different countries or meeting up with some of my co-workers who have now become my friends for meals on our days off.

I joined Bluebird care Swale in August 2021 as a Care Assistant. I had never been a carer before and took to the role very smoothly.
In December 2021 I was given the opportunity to become an On Call Assistant.

In September 2022 I joined the office as a Support Supervisor, my new role is to help new carers start their Career in care. I’m now put of the Manager on call

I love my job role. Providing customers with excellent care that I would want my loved ones to receive.

I recently qualified as a mental health first aider.  I understand the importance of mental health and its impact on overall well-being, so I am happy to hold this role and be here to support the team,

I started my career in care back 2019, working within the community. I have worked within a mixed range of needs from companion visits, mental health and challenging behaviour. I absolutely adore meeting every single client and being that difference to their day.  I love hearing everyone stories of their life experiences.

I am excited to get stuck in at Bluebird care as support supervisor and cannot wait to meet everyone. I really like how flexible Bluebird care is, I can further my career and still be a mum.

Charlene - I recently qualified as a mental health first aider. I am happy to hold this role and be here to support the team,

I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 2018 and have the knowledge and self experience of the condition that I felt I wanted to put to good use, by turning a negative situation into something positive

I volunteered to be the Multiple Sclerosis Champion as I feel I can use my personal knowledge to educate the Carers in Multiple Sclerosis, by giving them an insight into what to expect and how to deal with the condition
