Meet our team of care professionals

Jemma LeGrevese
Registered Care Manager

Jemma joined Bluebird Care in June 2015 and within three months was  promoted to Area Supervisor, Jemma has been the Care Manager of South Somerset since February 2018. Jemma is now Registered Care Manager for Bluebird Care South Somerset and West Dorset. 

Jemma has over twenty years experience of providing Care and Support. During this time she has worked in hospitals, community and nursing homes and with Social Services. She has led teams in each of these sectors.

Jemma is passionate that she and her team deliver high quality care where ever it is needed.

She is currently working towards her QCF Level 5 Qualification in Health and Social Care.

Jemma's obsession is perfume and during her spare time she can often be found in a perfume shop!

Jemma's remaining free time is spent driving her children around Somerset, reading, watching horror films or listening to music.  

Charlie Maddever
Care Manager

Charlie joined the Bluebird South Somerset team in February 2017. He has then since worked his way to becoming the supervisor for the Somerton and Central areas and had earned a level 3 NVQ. Charlie is now Deputy Manager for South Somerset.

Charlie has worked in care for over 6 years. He was originally studying to be a cinematographer at Bath Spa University when by chance he visited a care home and was impressed with the amount of care he saw the residents receive. The next day he quit university and embarked on a new adventure into the world of care, and has never looked back.

In his spare time Charlie likes to frequent the theatre and soak in the wonder that is Shakespeare as well as the occasional opera. When relaxing at home there is nothing he enjoys more than listening to smooth jazz whilst savouring fine wine or an aged whiskey. A choice cigar does not go amiss either. 

Adam Kerswell
Care Co-ordinator

Adam has been involved in care since a young age, as he was caring for a family member from age of 12. He has also worked in the community alongside managing a care home. Adam traveled to America to be a sports coach for young people and children with learning disabilities for 3 summers between 2001 to 2003. 

  • Adam has done volunteer work for the London ambulance service as a first responder, involved in helping in the 2012 London Olympics
  •  Enjoys playing skittles at a local pub and has won trophies for the last 10 years

Claire Cobner
Yeovil Community Care Lead

Claire joined Bluebird Care in August 2016 and started to work as supporting supervisor for Yeovil. After 6 months Claire became Area Supervisor for Central area, since then Claire's area has expanded across 3 areas in South Somerset and Dorset. 

Claire has over 5 years experience of providing Care and Support. During this time she has worked in the community providing care in customers homes. Claire is passionate that she and her team deliver high quality care where ever it is needed. Claire has achieved her NVQ level 2 and 3 in Health and Social Care during her time at Bluebird Care. She is currently working towards her QCF Level 5 Qualification in Health and Social Care. 

Claire enjoys spending time with family and friends. Claire's family mean the world to her and is family driven. Claire likes to socialise in local pubs and festivals. After work Claire likes to unwind with a drink normally the prosecco type. 

Louise Burgess
Community Care Lead Chard, Crewkerne and Illminster

Lou joined Bluebird Care in 2017 as a Care Assistant and became the Community Care Lead for the Chard, Ilminster and Crewkerne area in 2020. 

" I have always worked in the care sector and could never imagine doing anything different, as my passion in life has always been to care for others. 

I have a busy home life with 4 children but thoroughly enjoy the hustle and bustle of daily life.

I enjoy family days out, shopping and having a good catch up with friends as well as a good smelling scented candle!"

Karon Levy
Community Care Lead Sherborne, Wincanton and Sparkford

Karon joined Bluebird Care in March and has had many years' experiences within the care sector. Karon began her career in London within the Leonard Cheshire Foundation, which was residential care for various disabilities and diseases , such a Frederich's Ataxia to Cerebral palsy and Tetraplegia.

Karon moved to Castle Cary with her 3 children in 1997, where she continued with care work, with vulnerable elderly client in Wincanton. Karon has worked for agencies in various locations and homes over the years . After 15 years of a career path change, she returned to working in care in 2020. 

In her spare time Karon enjoys going to concerts, festivals and spending time with her 6 grandchildren.
